OptiX Metro3100 is a new

generation of STM-16 Multi-Service

1. Receiving direction

SEQ1/SOQ1 sends received optical signals to SP8

SP8 sends the signals to XCS

2. Transmitting direction

SP8 receives VC-4 signals from XCS

inserts overhead bytes in turn to form STM-1 signals

scrambles and sends the signals to SEQ1/SOQ1
