An amazing and unique opportunity awaits you that few will ever experience—the chance to perform on the field of the brand new Cliff Harris Stadium with the Ouachita Baptist University Marching Band during its 2014 football halftime show! This fall, the OBU Marching Band will consecrate our new football stadium with a gospel mash-up show featuring Modern Gospel and Contemporary Christian hits. The show will feature OBU student gospel vocalists, a full praise band, and praise singers from OBU and local Arkadelphia area churches. Below is important information regarding your volunteer participation, including an overview of the halftime show program, performance schedule, rehearsal schedule, and vocal lead sheets for each song. To help you in your preparation, we will also provide two digital audio files of the halftime show—a mash-up of the original recordings (in the original keys) and the marching band halftime show arrangement (in different keys than the original recordings). In order to present the best possible musical performances and communicate a powerful faith-based message to our local community, as well as reduce the amount of rehearsal time required of you, please dedicate adequate time learning and memorizing your songs so that you are as musically prepared as possible.
