MISSION DRIVENBOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF SAN DIEGUITO IS A
I want to thank you for your support and interest in the impact the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Dieguito has on our youth. It has been a tremendous honor to serve as CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Dieguito for the past two years. My 25 year history with the Clubs provides me invaluable insight in evaluating and creating the best possible programs, hire the best possible staff and serve our community to the fullest. As I walk through our Clubs and talk with the families we serve I am convinced more and more that the services our organization provides are crucial to the community as a whole. As the cost of living continues to rise and social media takes center stage in the lives of our youth, the need for one on one communication, positive role models and civic minded activities is crucial in molding future generations.
As a mother of two daughters (one teen and one tween) I have firsthand experience as a member, consumer, employee and advocate. This experience drives me to provide high-quality programs each year within our 7 clubhouses and 6 specialty programs (Summer Adventure Camps, Athletics & Big 8 Middle School Sports, Pardee Aquatics Center, Centers for a Healthy Lifestyle, Carmel Valley Montessori School, Youth Arts Academy). For over 50 years we have ensured our members feel physically and emotionally safe by receiving support and recognition from caring adults who set expectations for them and encourage them to explore endless possibilities. I am honored to carry on this 50+ year legacy by continuing to open the doors of opportunity and prepare our youth for GREAT FUTURES.
Our Clubs rely on community support through membership and donations. To become a part of our Boys and Girls Clubs community contact me directly [email protected] for a personal tour or visit our website www.BGCSanDieguito.org and learn how GREAT FUTURES START HERE.
Sincerely,Marineke VandervortCEO, Boys and Girls Clubs of San Dieguito

OF SAN DIEGUITO
2016 YOUTH OF THE YEARYVETTE CONDE
"I found hope in BGC San Dieguito. I was no longer alone, I was no longer sad, and I was no longer the little girl that would walk around in public
spaces with her head down. Suddenly it didn’t matter that I was too short for everyone else, it didn’t matter that my family was incomplete. Through the love and care of the staff members I have learned that our differences
are what make us important."
