Our teamOur ECM team is led by Zbigniew Mrowiec. Zbigniew is widely regarded as the most prominent ECM lawyer in the Warsaw market, with vast experience in a variety of complex and innovative transactions, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment. He has advised on many Polish “first ever” transactions including the first takeover on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, the first hostile takeover, the first “delisting”, the first dual listing of a foreign issuer and only the fourth issue in the whole of the EU where the issuer’s “home” regulator referred prospectus approval authority to the regulator of the listing jurisdiction.
As the former Deputy Chairman of the Polish Securities and Exchange Commission (March 2004 – October 2005), Zbigniew co-authored the regulations governing the Polish capital markets, which streamlined and rationalised the supervision by the Polish SEC, liberalised the Polish capital markets, and increased their transparency and effectiveness.
