PolyCarb™
Naturally ChelatedMicroNutrients
Lignosulphonates…the future…!
www.Satyajit.co
Basics
Stronger binding sites = chelate structure
Active chelate sites
PolyCarb is able to chelate metal ions due to the presence of hydroxyl, carboxyl & sulphonyl groups
CEC
PolyCarb has a very high Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) due to a higher availability of binding sites in its molecule
Origin
PolyCarb being of plant origin, its chelated micronutrients are more natural than synthetic chelates

Basics
Avoids blocking
metal to soil
Avoids precipitation
of metal
Avoids interference with P ( in NPK) or in
soil

Stomatal Pore
Phloem
Xylem
Stomatal Cavity
Leaf Transversal Section
PolyCarb™ has a lower point of deliquescence (POD) than inorganic salts & complexes used in foliar
nutrition which means it can hold moisture longer & rehydrate more rapidly even in a dry environment. Low
POD helps foliar uptake rate of micronutrients
PolyCarb™ minimizes the risk of leaf scorching and so higher metal concentrations could be used favoring
the diffusion to the phloem
PolyCarb™ provides a good distribution of micronutrients on leaf surface & thereby substituting
the need of additional adjuvants when used with other foliar formulations

Advantages
Lignosulphonate is a Natural Chelating Agent - extracted from wood pulp
Being of plant origin these chelates act systemically and carry the metal ion through the plant reaching everywhere they required
Once inside the plant the mineral is released and the left over lignosulphonate carrier is
used up as a source of water soluble nutrient
These chelated micronutrients can be used for organic food production to increase the
final nutrient value of the produce
