Parenting Ideas This weeks topic is:

Sleep Tips for Kids

Sleep is a critical component of enhancing a child’s

wellbeing, learning and development and overall

performance. The right amount of quality sleep will

ensure that their brain and body are being used at full

capacity.

Helping kids understand how their body clock works,

assisting them to work out their optimal bedtime

and putting lifestyle and sleep hygiene habits in place

can help them get the sleep they need to rest,

recuperate and flourish. You can find some tips to help

in the attached article.

Have you used your free Parenting Ideas voucher

to access the Understanding Techno Tantrums

Webinar yet?

Instructions on accessing the voucher are included in

this newsletter.

Mudgee Respiratory Clinic

Our local Medical Centre has recently developed a child

friendly booklet “Going to the Mudgee Respiratory

Clinic” which may be of use if your child is feeling

unwell and needs to attend the clinic. It helps to explain

what happens once you get there and some things to

do if your child is feeling nervous. If you think this may

be useful for your family please contact the school

office to arrange a copy.

I would also like to remind parents in the case of your child needing to be tested for COVID-19, please contact the office to advise that your child has been tested and

keep them at home until you have received their results. Michelle Neaverson - Smith Principal
