Our parish family retreat, hosted by NET Ministries of Canada,
will be taking place on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 10:00am

HEART OF MERCY COLLECTION
- AFTER MASSES, SUN MAY 14, 21 & 28 -
The Heart of Mercy will be collecting items to support St.
Mary’s Home and the Miriam Centre. The Miriam Centre
provides services for young pregnant women. St. Mary’s Home
supports young pregnant women as well as young moms and
dads, and their infants and young children. We will be
collecting items on Sunday, May 14, 21 and 28, before and
after the 9:00am and 11:00am masses. They are in need of the
following items:
educational baby toys up to 12 months of age
picture books for young children (gently used or new)
baby bottles
wipes
diaper rash cream
diapers (newborn up to size 3)
receiving blankets
sleep bags that zip or button
(new) newborn outfits
A pack and play will be located at the front entrance of the
church to collect the items.
We will also be collecting coins to support pro-life initiatives.
Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
ADORATION CHAPEL
Members of the Adoration Team are available downstairs in the
Hall after each Sunday Mass for anyone interested in learning
more about our Adoration Chapel. Please prayerfully consider a
commitment to spend an hour a week with our Lord Jesus, so that
we have two adorers each hour for a total of 220 hours per week.
We are in need of almost 100 more hours to be filled.
Consider sharing an hour with members of your family or with oth-
ers in your particular ministry or small Christian community. Thank
you to all who have made the commitment these past few months!

ST. MARY'S PARISH IS LOOKING FOR A NEW
CARETAKER BEGINNING SUMMER 2017
FULL-TIME POSITION. Reporting to the Director of Parish
Operations, the caretaker is responsible for upkeep of church
and property. Must be available weekdays but also Saturdays
and Sundays (to clear entrances in winter and respond to emer-
gencies). Knowledge of carpentry, electricity, plumbing, paint-
ing and equipment maintenance an asset.

Knights, please note that we will be choosing a new council
executive at our next general meeting on Wed, May 17 at
7:00pm. Consider nominating someone or offering your services
in one of the many positions available.
Frank Barrett is resigning as Financial Secretary after three years
of excellent service. This is a vital position filled by appointment
through the Grand Knight. If you have experience in finances/
accounting, consider putting your name forward. We ask the
whole council to pray that the Lord will lead and guide the selec-
tion of our next year’s executive.
