A Prayer for Healing from Covid-19
God of Mercy, whose love surrounds us and is within us.
We come to you trusting that you are our strength, our very present help in trouble.
We pray for those who suffer the symptoms of COVID-19 and for the families and medical staff who surround them in care.
We pray for those most vulnerable to this disease. May they rest in your peace and protection.
We pray for healthcare workers and people on the front lines, and for workers in essential roles in our communities. Keep them healthy. Keep them safe.
We pray for parents and children who struggle with the new normal of home school. May they be comforted by your peace and presence.
We pray for people who face hatred and discrimination due to fear and anger. May they feel your embrace.
We pray for our leaders. May they be wise, courageous and compassionate.
And we pray for all of us, our families, all those we love, and all those we need to love more. May we join with our brothers and sisters in our common humanity to build a better world united by love and justice. May our hearts open with care for our neighbors and for all those in need.
We ask this knowing our need for you and for each other. Amen.

Food Pantry Report
As you probably have read or seen, the Food Pantry has been moved from the Church basement to next
door to the Church Office.
This makes it much easier for the office staff when it comes to giving out the food items, especially when
there are nearly 100 Holiday boxes. It also will allow us to store more requested items, including
perishable goods.
We want to thank the staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the move.
We appreciate all their hard work.
The Food Pantry has been a success because of your kindness and concern for those less fortunate than
most of us.
The other day when we were driving into the church parking lot on our way to see the relocated pantry
for the first time, I saw a mother crying with happiness as her daughter consoled her. The mother was so
thankful for the bag of groceries she received that it brought her to tears. I took it as the most beautiful
way of saying “thank you”.
So now, we need to ask you for your continued support to restock and maintain the pantry.
The most requested items at this time are:
Pancake mix Tuna Meats: Chicken & Beef
Paper towels Spam Dishwashing Soap
Toilet tissue Fresh Fruits Sauce
Napkins Fresh Vegetables Cereal
Canned fruits Eggs Canned Chicken
Canned vegetables Breakfast Sausage Canned Soup & Stew
Pasta
Again, thank you for all your support, without you the benefit to those in need would not be possible. I
also want to thank the parishioners who sent cash donations and those of you who have called or asked
how you could assist. All your help and concern will never be forgotten.
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness,
Carmine and Marcia Trotta

Our Lady Queen of Angels has set up an Emergency Fund. The
purpose of the Emergency Fund is to help parishioners and the
community in this special time of need and to help replenish the
Food Pantry. If you are inclined to make a special donation to Our
Lady Queen of Angels Parish Emergency Fund you could do so
either by mailing a check to the parish office in a parishioner
envelope or you can contribute through our Parish Giving
program. To access our Parish Giving program, go to the
homepage of our website (www.olqoa.org) and click on the link
there. Once on the Parish Giving website, you can contribute by creating an account or clicking "Pay
Now". Either way you choose, there is an option under "Parish Collections" to contribute to the
Emergency Fund. Thank you for your continued support of Our lady Queen of Angels Parish!
