Baptism: Classes in English are on the 1st Tuesday of the month
at 7:00 pm. Please call the office to register for a class. After
attending class, the baptism date is to be scheduled through the
parish office. Marriage: Couples need to schedule a meeting with
the priest at least six months before the proposed marriage date to
begin the necessary preparations for the sacrament of marriage.
Quinceañeras: Our Lady of the Valley Quinceañeras! Requirements
include to be a part of Good Fighters in Family Ministry and the
one-day Quinceañera retreat. You can register in the parish office
Monday through Friday. 208-459-3654
Bautismo: Se requiere instrucción pre-bautismal para padres y
padrinos. La clase en español es el primer Miercoles del mes a las
7:00 pm. Despues de asistir a clase pre-bautismal, fecha para
bautisar se proveera por la oficina parroquial Matrimonio: Se
requiere que parejas interesadas en celebrar su matrimonio en la
Iglesia se comuniquen con el sacerdote por lo menos con seis meses
de anticipación a la fecha deseada para la boda, con el fin de
cumplir todos los requisitos para el sacramento del matrimonio.
Quinceañeras: Nuestra Señora del Valle misa de Quinceañeras Se
requiere que se inscriban en el ministerio familiar con Good
Fighters y asistir al retiro de Quinceañera. Se pueden inscribir en

Even though we have only resumed Masses for a few weeks,
liturgically we are nearing the end of the Easter season (two
Sundays to go). The tone of the gospel changes from teaching the
apostles to preparing them for Jesus’ departure (next Sunday). As
we hear today, Jesus promises to give us the help we need-the Holy
Spirit. He also tells us what we need to do-be open to his help and
keep his commandments Salvation is our cooperation with God’s
graces. He always does his part; it is up to us to do our part.

A pesar de que solo hemos reanudado las misas
por unos pocas semanas, litúrgicamente nos
estamos acercando al final de la temporada de
Pascua (solo faltan dos domingos). El tono del
evangelio cambia de enseñar a los apóstoles a
prepararlos para la partida de Jesús (el próximo
domingo). Como escuchamos hoy, Jesús promete
darnos la ayuda que necesitamos: el Espíritu
Santo. También nos dice lo que debemos hacer:
estar abiertos a su ayuda y guardar sus
mandamientos. La salvación es nuestra
cooperación con las gracias de Dios. Él siempre

If your child is in sacramental preparation this year, please
make sure to turn in all your forms to the OLV Parish Office as
soon as possible.

If your child is receiving 1st Communion and has participated in
1st Reconciliation, you should have received a Flocknote with your
child’s Mass date. If you have not received notification, please
contact the OLV office. Each child is allowed 2 guests max (for
example: 1 parent + 1 sponsor). No exceptions. If your child has a
sponsor who cannot make it to the Mass, a family member may stand
in as a substitute. The children will be receiving Communion IN
HAND ONLY. Please practice with your children at home. Attendees
must keep 6-foot dis-tance from other parishioners (other than
sponsor or parent) at all times. If you or your family members are
ill or have underlying health issues and will not participate in
their designated Mass, please , please contact Lili Puype as soon
as you know at the OLV office at 208-459-3653 or via email at

Primera Comunión de su hijo/a. Si no ha recibido la notificación,

tiene un máximo de 2 invitados (por ejemplo: 1 padre + 1 pa-drino).
Sin excepciones. Si su hijo tiene un padrino que no puede asistir a

la Comunión SOLO EN MANO. Favor de practicar con sus hijos en casa.

Confirmation is still on for Wednesday, May 20th
at 7:00pm., with Fr. Mike officiating. Attendance is lim-ited to
the Confirmation candidate and their sponsor (no exceptions). No
one else will be allowed to attend the mass. If a sponsor cannot
make it, a family member or catechist may stand in as substitute.
Confirmation practices will be Saturday, May 9
th at 1:00pm (for those who attended Sunday class at 10:00am),
Sunday, May 10
th at 10am (for those
who attended the Sunday Spanish class at 1:00pm), and Saturday,
May 16th
at 1:00pm (for those in Wednesday’s class). Sponsors are not
required to attend practice. Confirmandi can relay instructions to
sponsors after practice. Dur-ing practice, attendees must keep
6-foot distance from other parishioners at all times. You will
enter the church and enter the pew as close to the front as is
open. This will allow everyone to be seated and ensure distancing
is main-tained. Dismissal will be from the last/back pew to the
front, one pew at a time. No gatherings of any form will be
al-lowed in the church or the Narthex. Masks/protective face
covering of any kind are HIGHLY encouraged. If any of you or your
families are ill or have underlying health issues and you will not
participate in the ceremony or if you cannot at-tend your
designated practice, please contact Lili Puype as soon as you know
at the OLV office at 208-459-3653 or via email at

para los que tenian clase los domingos a las 10:00 a.m.), el

los que tenian clases los miér-coles. Los padrinos no tienen que
asistir la práctica. Confirmandi pueden dar instrucciones a los

mantener 6 pies de distancia de otros en todos momentos. Entrarán a
la iglesia y las bancas tan cerca del frente como esté abierto.
Esto permitirá que todos se sienten y asegurará propio
distanci-amiento. La salida será desde atrás hacia el frente, una
banca a la vez. No se permitirán reuniones de ninguna forma en la
iglesia o en el Narthex. Se recomiendan cubrebocas o proteccion de

Why is our Diocese conducting the
Idaho Catholic Appeal? Each year, the Bishop asks each and every
one of the more than 170,000 Catholics liv-ing in Idaho to
participate in the Appeal. He asks us to generously support the
on-going ministries of the Church that provide educa-tional,
pastoral, and charitable outreach to those living in the Diocese.
The Idaho Cath-olic Appeal provides about 70 percent of the support
needed to fund the diocesan ministries each year. The other funding
comes from parish assessments, fees for services, investment income
and grants, and other donations.
¿Por qué nuestra Diócesis está conduciendo la
Campaña Católica Anual del Diezmo? Cada año, el Obispo
Christensen le pide a cada uno de los más de 170,000 católicos
viviendo en Idaho, participar en la Campaña Anual del Diezmo. Él
nos pide a nosotros apoyar generosamente a los ministerios en
marcha que la Iglesia provee: educacional, pastoral y caritativa,
buscando a aquellos viviendo en la Diócesis. La Campaña Católica
