Our CMP Transformer Car is here!!! Peter Hanson has them!!! Get hold of Peter if you plan to be at the February meeting so he can bring your car(s). If you haven’t purchased one yet, the Price is $49.00 per car. Shipping and handling is $8.00, in-state or $10.00, for the continental US. For international orders, please inquire. Members, save the shipping and have Peter bring the cars to a meeting for pick up. To place an order, contact Peter Hanson at [email protected] to secure your car(s). Use email, don’t call Peter, too much chance of a mistake being made.

According to Fred Guth, Classic Toy Trains Magazine (CTT) will showcase the car in their May issue. This is a handsome car and having it in CTT will boost sales, I am sure. So don’t hesitate to place your order today to reserve yours. Please make your check out to the Maine 3 Railers. Last months newsletter was missing pic’s of Gene Blanc’s layout from our annual New Years Day open house. The detail is amazing. Here are a couple taken by Doug Pollock.

Thanks Doug… As most of you know, fellow member, Dave Myrand, lives in the Philippines. Seems that Dave is about the only one among us that is smart enough to not be in Maine in the winter… Here are a couple of pic’s he sent of his layout – all Maine themed, of course. Thanks Dave.

On a sad note, Allen Mounger, of Hampton, NH, passed away in January. Al was an avid model railroader and good friend to several of us within the Maine3Railers. A year or so back, many of us stopped by his home to review the progress he was making redesigning and rebuilding his extensive layout. His wife Gail is keeping the layout operating for their friends, relatives, and children near by. Our own Bill Halley and other friends have volunteered to keep the layout operating and in ship-shape. We have a new member: Please join us in welcoming Mark Piccirillo from Newburgh. You all know the drill, you see a new face, step up and introduce yourself, It’s probably Mark. Welcome Mark and don’t be a stranger… (Hey Mark, so you know, you are not listed last because you are not important. You are very important, indeed. I had some editing/layout issues… ed.) That’s all for this edition, your feedback, rants, and suggestions are always welcome. Our preliminary show flyer is showing on the following page – subject to minor changes. Regards, Tom [email protected] 207.749.8246 cell
