Mission The mission of CMRC is to promote literacy
as a lifelong habit for all learners through professional development, networking, and
publications.

WHAT IS CENTRAL MASS READING
COUNCIL? Central Mass Reading Council, serving Central Mass since 1961, is a local non-profit professional organization open to all those interested in promoting literacy. Over the years, CMRC has repeatedly earned Honor Council status for distinguished service to the International Reading Association, Massachusetts Reading Association, and local council members.
Membership is open to anyone interested in literacy teaching and learning including; teachers, parents, administrators, librarians, college and university professors, and students and all those with a passion for literacy.
