BELLA IS ALSO OUR
FUNNY PET
PHOTO CONTEST

Meow!
Old Faithful
"Kissing Poodles" This photo is supposedly un-retouched. It is the Old Faithful Geyser in Yellowstone National Park during one of its normal eruptions. It looks like two poodles kissing.
Bella Bella turned 15 y/o in April of this
year. She is a silver Maine
Coon. Maine coons are known as
the "dogs" of the feline world,
because they follow their owners
around & are playful. When Bella
was younger she would play fetch
with a crumpled piece of paper.
Maine Coons have two coats of
fur, a soft silky undercoat & and a
thicker outer coat. Bella's fur is
white to charcoal in color and
very soft. They are usually quite
big, but Bella has never weighed
more than 9lbs. She is currently
only a little over 7lbs as she has
renal failure and that has caused
her to lose some weight. Maine
coons are also known for being
very verbal and making trilling
type noises. Bella sometimes
likes to run through the house and
make a buzzing noise. She always
comes when called and most of
the time will meow in response to
verbal communication. She has
also been a very sweet, gentle,
caring cat and has stayed very
close to Dawn's side whenever she
was sick or in pain. She is very
curious and likes to open cabinet
doors to explore, and tries to open
closed doors to see what is behind
them. She is very perceptive and
quickly makes friends with the
humans who are close to Dawn,
but hides from ones that are not
well known. She is a very special
cat and well loved.

…a little more about
Bella
Bella is a Maine Coon
Cat who resides in A-
210 and owns her
human named “Dawn.”
Sparky Dressed as one of
Santa’s elves, Sparky
visited with Santa
during the holidays.
Does it really work? Over the past
six weeks, several of our four-legged
residents have been using the PPPC
Bark Alert Loaner Program.
According to their humans, and their
neighbors, the answer is…Yes!
Notification to your neighbor is simple and
confidential. Simply place one of the PPPC’s Bark
Alert Door Hangers (available in the clubhouse) on the
door of the unit where there is a barking dog. Once
your neighbor is aware their dog is misbehaving when
they’re not home, they have the option of loaning the
Sunbeam Ultrasonic Pet Egg from the Pet Committee
(information on how to do this is printed on the Bark
Alert Door Hanger). Deterring a barking dog is made
simple with this barking control device. Perfect for all
environments. Made exclusively for PetSmart
($39.99). When the Sonic Egg is placed five (5) feet
from the ground in the direction that the dog barking
originates it helps control unwanted barking. When
the dog barks, the Sonic Egg emits an ultrasonic sound
that only dogs can hear and works up to 50 feet away.
The sound is displeasing to your dog and he/she will
quickly learn the best way to avoid the sound is not to
bark. The PPPC will loan the Sonic Egg to you for a
two (2) week period, giving you ample time to
determine whether it works for your situation before
you invest $39.99.
Benson Once again, our model
dog is sleeping on the
job.
