LBC Kids Ministry In light of our recent transition back to one service on Sundays, there are definitely some key volunteer needs in the LBC Kids Ministry that we need your help with! Please prayerfully consider jumping in to care for and shepherd the souls of all these children God has brought to Lakeside. The lessons provide a great way for believers to grow in their understanding of biblical truths. With topics ranging from the character of God to church participation, it’s an ideal study for discipling new believers and allowing mature believers to return to the basics of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

A Belated Christmas Greeting From Uganda
Dear Friends,
At this most wonderful time of the year, Uganda heats up, signifying our “hottest time of the year.” So we are left without falling snow and cozy fires to remind us of the Yuletide. But if we think about it, that stinky stable on the first Christmas wasn’t very comfortable, cozy, or inviting, either. In fact it was probably one of the dirtiest places on earth. Isn’t it ironic, that we commemorate this event with such a stark contrast with that first Christmas? Not that our celebrations are bad. We should still enjoy the music, lights, and food. But I wonder if God intentionally chose the ordinary, even primitive, so that NOTHING would distract from the main thing…WORSHIP. There was no appeal to draw the first worshippers to the stable. Only a Person. May we carefully pan our schedules this Christmas, that nothing would distract us from worshipping the Person of Christmas…Christ.
As always, we are grateful for your support which enables us to extend God’s love to the people of Uganda all throughout the year.
