WHAT AND HOW?
Task: to generate a mini-move focussing on Manchester and Jeanette’s memoir
Objectives: to transcode a literary text intoto a visual text.
Materials: texts,videos, pictures, music, Pc sources, the Internet, teacher’s site.
Text types analysed: Jeanette Winterson’s memoir, newspaper articles about Capitalism, narrative and argumentative texts about Industrialization.
Methodology: individual research, group work: cooperative and collaborative learning, gathering ideas, creating a well organized product
WHY?To practiceLanguage skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing a script, discussing, interacting, exploiting the sound level and images, to interpret a literary text and convey a specific message.
Study Skills and Knowledge: use of literary code, use of figurative code, textual and structural analysis, critical interpretation of resources, critical choice of resources, spoken and written production, interaction.
