OUR SCHOOL

Our school is located in Giove, a small village in Umbria, 100 km far from Rome. It is n an ancient building, in fact it was a convent and it dates back to the 1600. Now on the gound floor there are the offices of the city council and the playschool, on the first floor there is the primary school and on the second floor the secondary school, our school.

Our classroom

In our class there are 16 desks and chairs. There are 3 windows and 6 curtains, a clock and a coat rack.

In our class we attend the lessons.

We study Italian, Maths, Religious Education, English, French, Music, Art, Technology and Science.

The corridor

In the corridor we have the break.

The break starts at 10:40 and finishes at 10:50.

The caretakers' room

The teachers' room

In the teacher’s room there is a blackboard, there is a big table, there are some chairs and there are 2 cupboards. In this room the teachers have their meetings.

The computer room

In the computer room there are several computers, a teacher's desk, a blackboard and a cupboard.

Here we work to learn to use the PC, we search the net to find more info on the topics we study, we chat with our friends of the eTwinning project.

The kitchen

In the kitchen there are 2 chairs, 2 tables. There is an oven, a fridge, a stove, a heater, a sink. There are some a cupboards, some forks, some knives, some pans, some pots and some pans .The oven is grey, the fridge is white, the stone is grey, the sink is clean, the cupboards are red, white, silver. There are some pictures and a door.

The photocopy machine

Here there is the photocopy machine, there are books and there is a teacher desk and a cupboard with paper and ink.

We use it to photocopy handouts we use during the tests and the exams.

The library

In the library there are many books that we take to study at home or to study at school.

The white interactive board

This is an ordinary room, but with the interactive board that we call LIM. We use it to take notes, to follow the lessons, to listen to music, to listen to English and French lessons, to work and search for info on the internet.

In this class there are desks, chairs, windows, there is a blackboard, a cupboard and theacher's desk.

The canteen

In the canteen the students eat delicius food, such as

We eat lunch in the canteen on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Going out after lunch

On Tuesdays and Thursdays after lunch, we go to the park with our friends and teachers. We talk and walk. We have a lot of fun.

Language and art room

In the language room there are two cupboards, a teacher's desk, seven desks, chairs, a blackboard, some maps and some posters. In the cupboard there are English and French books and dictionaries that we can take home to read and study.

In the second cupboard there are colours to paint and books of art.

There are two windows, a door, a coat rack, two heaters, two curtains.

In this room we do activities with the teacher of English and the teacher of art.

The gym

In the gym, we do gym, we play basket, volleyball, tennis and football.

Here we also organize exhibitions and shows.
