of St. James (built in the 14th century) It houses a magnificently carved and painted

wooden Gothic altar, the largest in Europe, (18.62 m in height), created by Master Paul around 1520

Visited by Pope John Paul II on July 3, 1995 Added to UNESCO World Heritage List on 28 June

2009 The oldest written reference dates back to 1249
