RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT COMPLEX QATAR FOUNDATION

Qatar has made a commitment to be a leading cen-

tre for research and development excellence and

innovation. Home to a globally regarded scientific

research funding organization, a world-class hub for

technology innovation and commercialization, and

prominent research institutes operating at the fron-

tiers of science, Qatar Foundation Research and De-

velopment is spearheading a national endeavour to

fulfil this commitment.

This endeavor, exemplified by the Qatar National Re-

search Strategy (QNRS), aims to develop the capa-

bilities of Qatar’s people and institutions, build and

maintain a competitive and diversified economy,

improved the health and well-being of the national

population, support the nations distinctive culture

and security of its people, while also preserving and

improving the natural and built environment.

The project involves construction of a 200,000 m2

world-class Research and Development complex.

The first 40,000 m2 building is expected to open in

the next few months adjacent to the Qatar Science

& Technology Park (QSTP). Bluu Gulf will be working

hand in hand with its parent company,

Redco Construction to build this world class R&D

facility.

QATAR HANDBALL ASSOCIATION COMPLEX

SPORTS & RECREATION

Qatar is set to host 24th edition of the world men’s

handball championship next year. The tournament

will be held from 15th January to 1st February 2015.

And make Qatar the 2nd country in the Middle East

to have hosted the event after Egypt in 1999. The

games of the tournament will be played in Doha.

Three venues are being constructed for the tourna-

ment and one of which is the Qatar Handball Asso-

ciation Complex. The complex, with a total built-up

area of approx. 40,000 square meters, will include

an Arena with a planned capacity of 5,500 seats.

It is being constructed on a 30,000 square meters

land area of soft Landscaping, water feature, parking

spaces and paved walkways.

A master plan of the complex includes 2 training

halls; 60-bedroom players’ accommodation,

restaurant and lounges; QHA administration and

media offices;presidential and exclusive lounges;

medical centre; gymnasium; and swimming pool

and grandstands. The project has been designed as

a sustainable ‘Green’ building and is being executed

by two primary agencies: IGH (Architectural and In-

terior) and WSP Middle East (Structural, MEP and

Geo technical Engineering) constructed by Redco

Construction Almana.

The Project site is measuring 150 hectares which

comprises of construction of stables for 620 horses

with backup facilities, accommodations and infra-

structure works. There are total 35 buildings and

service buildings with total built up area of 26,634

sq.m and 5,561 sq.m respectively.

CROWNE PLAZA DOHA

In 2012, we proudly completed a turn-key hospitality

project, the prestigious Crowne Plaza Doha, a mile-

stone conveniently located at The

Business Park Complex neighbouring to the Finan-

cial Hub in downtown Doha. Amid magnificent

glass-and-steel buildings, rises the stylish Crowne

Plaza Doha,

consisting of Event Centre, beautifully designed

dining restaurants, luxury hotel-suites and well

equipped rooms. Redco’s approach in delivering

quality project as such, is part of it’s strategy to be

among the leaders in delivering turn-key hospitality

projects in Qatar.

INTERCONTINENTAL THE CITY DOHA

HOSPITALITY

Completed in 2012, another milestone from Redco

Construction – Almana. The project was handed

over to the client as Turn-Key, and we worked with

the interior fit-outs to be as stylish and modern

facility. Intercontinental The City Doha, is named

after Qatar Silhouette Tower one of the highest

towers in Doha with total height of 220 m. The

tower cons i s t o f basement , g round f l oo r,

mezzanine, 58 floors composed of apartments, hotel

guest rooms and special areas l ike lobbies ,

restaurants, health club and others. This hotel is

impressive in every detail, from the hotel lobby

atrium to the open-air rooftop pool with stunning

views over West Bay.

COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS

ABRAJ QUARTIER GATEWAY TOWERS (AQ-01 & AQ-02)

The Abraj Quartier, or “Neighbourhood of Towers,” is

a major component of a major and ambitious mixed-

use development in Doha known as “The Pearl”. The

design language is essentially a contemporary inter-

pretation of traditional styles and themes, which in

turn have been informed by the regional climate and

culture. The site plan organizes a series of residential

towers and low-rise townhouses along a roadway

and boardwalk that front on the Gulf. The boardwalk

not only provides a pleasant pedestrian amenity but

also serves as access to the adjacent beach.

Marina Dictrict is the first section in Lusail City,

situated on the southern corner of the Lusail City

mega development.

The 21-square kilometre city project is ideally

located north of Doha’s central business district

within easy reach of the Al Khor expressway and

bordered by the blue waters of the Gulf.Lusail City

offers a mix of exclusive residential, commercial, re-

tail, hospitality and entertainment-focused districts

which come together to present an exciting and am-

bitious master planned project.

The tower sits on plot area approximately 6,702 m²;

while about 3,030 m² is the covered area. Total built

up area 59,073 m². The commercial tower contains

of 3 basement levels for parking facilities, and ser-

vices area. Ground and first floors shall be used as

commercial and services units. From 2nd floor to

27th floor will be constructed as for offices use. The

commercial tower after completion shall be among

other commercial towers as a business hub located

in Marina Lusail.

THE BUSINES PARK


A Business Hub with a number of (5) office build-

ings and a showroom, where each building consist

of five-story built for different type of offices in ad-

dition to a building fit to accommodate for retails

and showroom purposes. The Business Park is situ-

ated at the Airport Road to the Grand Hamad Av-

enue and integrates architectural elements from the

adjacent complex.

The office floors are designed with raised flooring

to accommodate data processing space for

high-tech tenants. The elevations of the buildings

were designed to comply as energy efficient features.

AL RAMES OFFICE TOWER WEST BAY – DOHA

A commercial tower located at the heart of new

Doha city centre. The Office Building total built-up

area is 64,000 square meter. The tower comprises

of 2B + G + 35 Floors + Roof.

VIVA BAHRIYA 11 & 17 @ THE PEARL QATAR

RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS

Completed project; the two residential towers located

at the prestigious The Pearl Qatar, each tower comprises

of 23-story building in addition to 2-basements for

car parking. 19 floors for Apartments and 3 Roof

levels. It is worth mentioning that the two towers

where among the fastest to be delivered and handed

over to the client.
