Blending Plant Antwerp, Belgium
Q8Oils’ Blending Plant in Antwerp is located by the river Scheldt, facilitating the delivery of raw materials by ship or barge. The finished lubricants are sold in bulk or in packages ranging from 1 to 1,000 liters.
The ISO certification and integrated control by Q8Oils’ Quality Department ensure safe products of the highest quality. An investment of more than 100 million USD over past years makes this blending plant the most modern in Europe. With a potential capacity of 250 million liters it is also Europe’s largest blending plant.
Blending Plant Castellar Guidobono, Italy
Our Italian plant is located close to the town of Castellar Guidobono, south of Milan. It has highly automated small pack filling facilities and supplies customers worldwide with Q8Oils, Germ-Allcard, Roloil and Q8Oils marine-branded products.
The plant’s flexibility enables Q8Oils to produce an extensive range of products for all specialist and customer needs. A laboratory manages quality control and product development.

Product development & innovationThe new Q8 Formula Truck range passed all industry and OEM tests and field trials to fulfill and exceed the most stringent requirements of industry specifications and key OEMs. The Q8 Formula Truck range covers the specifications of ACEA, API, JASO and covers the most important OEM requirements.
Q8 Formula Truck delivers fuel savings of 0,5% up to 3,3% as tested in field tests in on- and off highway applications in the EU, the US and China (fuel economy benefits compared to standard 15W-40 oils).

Gas Engine OilsThe technology of our Gas Engine Oils has been successfully proven in our customers' engines over the last 25 years. Our Q8 Mahler range is the best suited lubricant solution for the increasing number of high-efficiency engines demanding:
• High oxidation and nitration resistance for long service life • Low ash deposit tendency and good resistance against pre-ignition• Excellent anti wear properties to protect the engine against valve seat recession• High acid neutralizing capacities as a result of high TBN retention
Turbine OilsOur Q8 Van Gogh and Q8 Volta products are designed for use in gas, steam and hydro-turbines. These oils have outstanding oxidation stability to ensure reliable operation, together with good water separation and low foaming properties. Also available in EP-variants (Extreme Pressure) and combined with gearbox lubricants, they can as well provide protection against wear. Our approved turbine oils exceed the quality requirements of all major turbine OEMs.

Kuwait Routine Analysis Service (KRAS)Q8Oils offers additional services including oil analysis and condition monitoring. We analyze customers’ oil samples, using our extensive knowledge to produce practical reports and recommendations for the optimization of oil performance for specific systems, engines, vehicles and machines.
Our engineers can analyze numerous oil parameters including viscosity, Total Base Number (TBN), Total Acid Number (TAN), pH, oxidation level, nitration level, water contamination and Inductive Coupled Plasma (ICP).

Case StudyQ8 Mahler GR5 SolutionQ8 Mahler GR5 is a high performance gas engine oil based on Group III base oil. This oil was specially developed with outstanding oxidation stability and the ability to control piston/liner cleanliness at increased piston ring temperatures. A 10,000-hour trial was carried out at Vinderup VARMEVÆRK Denmark. With Q8 Mahler GR5 the customer achieved more than 4,000 additional hours oil life with no filter changes during this period. The engine's condition after 10,000 hours was excellent. In the same engine, with equivalent gas quality and operating conditions, the customer achieved 1,500 hours oil life with filter changes every 500 hours using an OEM approved competitor A-brand. The TBN retention results are shown in the graph.

Wire & Tube DrawingThe process of drawing wire for electrical wiring, cables, springs, paper clips and more through several dies requires specially developed lubricants. Q8Oils’ Germ-Allcard is a range of soluble and neat lubricants for non-ferrous rod, wire and tube rolling and drawing applications.
Metalworking - RemovalRemoving material by using various kinds of tooling, to result in a high quality finished component with respect to human and environmental exposures, requires balanced and technologically enhanced cutting fluids.
Quenching The way that metals are cooled after a heat treatment process defines the typical metal microstructure properties. Q8Oils’ range of quenching fluids controls the speed of cooling and overall surface quality, while keeping an eye on safety conditions.
Cold RollingReducing the thickness of metal strips and obtaining a high quality surface finish is a very demanding challenge for cold rolling oils. Q8Oils has developed a range of cold rolling oils, Q8 Bach R, for manufacturing ferrous and non-ferrous metals. These lubricants are suitable for all types of mills and approved by leading rolling mill manufacturers.
Anti CorrosionCorrosion of metals is a widely spread occurrence that will or can result into several issues when not prevented. The range of Q8Oils anti corrosion products will prevent rust formation and corrosion on work pieces, machine parts and tools.
Metalworking - FormingThe forming of metal parts, while applying a high level of energy, demands many different lubrication features in which a forming fluid has to operate. • Customer • Machines BF is part of the French BVS group Jankowski wire drawing machine (bvs-group.com). BF manufactures fasteners (standard and welding screws) by cold forging.
Q8Oils SolutionQ8Oils MWF specialists have selected a very high performance product, Q8 Brahms 5790, as this is a lubricant instead of a soap or gel. The product is easy to apply and is easily removed. This additive technology has proven very high performance in cold forming applications and replaced chlorine containing products.
ResultsThe main advantage of Q8 Brahms 5790 is that it does not contaminate cold forming machines in further operations. It is more easy to increase performance by increasing the concentration of extreme pressure additives.
Bio LubricantsFor applications in agriculture, water and forest areas, lubricants must be biodegradable to avoid the contamination of water, vegetation and soil. Q8Oils has a versatile range of bio lubricants for the protection of our environment.
Food GradesQ8Oils offers a range of greases and oils for the lubrication of machine parts and equipment when the lubricant could potentially be exposed to food. These products are based on special formulations that give both high performance and food grade safety.
