Preparation – Friday 17th
• We began by setting up the equipment; camera first. We also put the outdoor lighting kit battery on charge in preparation for filming.
• It was important to read the instructions about how to use the camera, and was a way of finding new buttons which were could not find, or were un aware of previously.
• Additionally, I was keen to revise my class notes on angles and lighting, as I did not want to be disorganised when the actors turned up. So using my lighting techniques, learnt in lessons, together we all produced a wonderful shot. (Below)
•We needed to hold the light stand, as unfortunately it would not stand up by itself. It was faulty. We had forgotten to check the equipment before taking it out.
•This Friday, we began shooting one of our major scenes with our villain, Jake.
•We also set up the garage, by adding blood on the mattress and walls. We had seen the mattress outside someone's house, as they no longer wanted it. As a result, we carried the mattress to Kim's house. We Used a black blanket to cover one wall which had painting on it. We placed gardeningTools around the room, such as a shovel.
Day of Shooting – Saturday 18th
•Here we are sorting out the images for the photo frames. We did this by using the website ‘face in a hole’. In addition, we used some wedding photos from photography websites/wedding albums.
Here are the photos and frames which we used for filming.
•We re-shot some of this scene. Now that we were more familiar with using the camera, we were more confident, and performed better.
