ALL JURISDICTIONS should have access to an Incident Management Team (IMT) to support the management of major, complex emergencies, planned events and disasters.
All-Hazard IMT(State, UASI, Regional):
• A multi-agency, multi-jurisdiction team of trained personnel from various disciplines within a state or metropolitan region.
• Activated for major or complex incidents that extend beyond one operational period.
• Capable of managing or supporting an extended incident for several operational periods, or until transition to a Type 2 or Type 1 IMT.
• Respond throughout the state or large portions of the state, depending upon state and local laws, policies and regulations.
Local IMT: • It is a designated team of fire, EMS, Depart-
ment of Public Works, Public Health and/or law enforcement personnel from a larger and generally more populated area, typically with a single jurisdiction (city, county, or region).
• Activated to manage an incident requiring a significant number of local and mutual aid resources.
Position Specific Training: • Curriculum developed for the (8) Command
and General Staff positions. Offerings posted on the web page.
