Once again, the OutDoor is breaking new records – as soon as it
opens its doors! Following completion of the extension to the east of
the trade fair centre, a fantastic 85,000m2 of exhibition space is now
available for the summit meeting of the outdoor branch.
The OutDoor 2009 is welcoming its specialist visitors with even more
exhibition space, an increased number of parking spaces, a greater
number of meeting and conference rooms, a greater selection of eateries.
Along with the square metres, the OutDoor is also increasing its claim
to be the main trade fair for its branch – anywhere in the world. This is
the address for the outdoor community to come together, traders to
keep themselves informed, the media to report from, and insiders to
discuss tomorrow’s trends today.
In other words: success stories are expected to be written again at
the OutDoor 2009.

Shuttle service within the town
The free buses nos. 17 (the Messe
Express) and 18 (airport shuttle)
connect the trade fair with impor-
tant locations: the airport, ferry,
town centre and main station.
Travelling by plane
Three airports are your gateway
to the OutDoor – all of which are
served by the shuttle bus service.
The following is a brief overview
of the most important connections.

Bike hire
During the OutDoor a total of 100
hire bikes will be available at the
most important locations in
Fried richshafen (airport, stations,
hotels) and around the exhibition
centre (Hymer-City + Camping
Park). This way the visitors and
exhibitors can make their way to
the exhibition centre easily and
quickly, and in the evening it’s easy
to get back to their starting point.
It is only four kilometres from
Fried richshafen city or harbour
railway station to the entrance of
the new Messe, a distance easily
covered in a good quarter of an
hour by bike.
And the best thing about the bike-
hire service: it’s not only free, it’s
environmentally friendly, too!
Camping
• Camping on the exhibition
area, with camper/caravan, tent
• Camping Park, 10 minute walk
to the OutDoor, with the option
of renting a tent for free.
