  • BATSBats fly like birds. Yet in fact they are mammals. They are the only mammals that can truly be said to fly. Their wings do not have feathers, but are made of thin sheet of skin stretched between the long "finger" bones. In most bats, the wings are also joined to the legs and tail.

  • There are more than 2000 different kinds of bats. Most live in the tropics and warm parts of the world. The biggest of all bats are the fruit eaters or flying foxes. One the kalong, has a wing span, of 1.5 meters. The insect eaters are usually smaller. Their wing span is rarely as much as 30 cm. They live in most parts of the world. Where winter is cold, they hibernate.

  • Before making an outline we have to change the main ideas/ key sentence.

  • Salt is very important to us. It is needed by our body. It adds taste to our food. It is used to keep meat and fish from spoiling.

  • 1. The liver is an important part of the body. It stores body fats. A large supply of vitamin A is found in it. Bile, so necessary for digestion, is manufactured there. Other body fluids are regulated by the liver.

  • 2. Ants are busy animals. Some ants dig holes for their nests. Others go out of the holes and bring back food. In the nest, some ants take care of the babies. Other ants keep the nest clean. The others protect the nest.

  • 3. Seeds are scattered in many ways. Birds in their flight drop many. The winds carry some to distant places. Others are caught on th wings and feet of insects. Seeds often stick on the hairy coat of passing animals. Those in pods and fruits fall to the ground in due time.
