Nomination Form Outstanding Achievement in Leadership Award Details This Award recognises an experienced registered nurse, enrolled nurse or midwife who has displayed extraordinary leadership in nursing or midwifery. Areas of practice may include management, clinical care, projects, education or research initiatives, policy and practice development and/or reform. Leadership can be demonstrated across the health system, the professions, and/or community. These actions will have contributed to improving the health, wellbeing and health outcomes of the people in the Tasmanian community and contribute to the professional standing of nursing. This nurse or midwife displays extra leadership that significantly contributes to excellence in nursing and/or midwifery practice by: Assuming a visionary leadership role in changing the culture of professional healthcare. Facilitating persistent excellence in patient and family centred care. Implementation of innovative strategies to match talents of staff with the needs of the community and/or system. Models effective stewardship in the areas of financial, material and personnel resources. Models exemplary relationship skills; builds stakeholder engagement and invests in partnerships. Integrates clinical speciality and professional standards throughout the scope of responsibility Exemplifies integrity, fairness and professionalism.

Award DetailsThis Award recognises an experienced registered nurse, enrolled nurse or midwife who has displayed extraordinary leadership in nursing or midwifery. Areas of practice may include management, clinical care, projects, education or research initiatives, policy and practice development and/or reform.
