Today we can look back on nearly 60years of history as a successful familyenterprise. During all this time, wehave worked hard to establish andmaintain an outstanding performance– a performance that we have beenable to demonstrate repeatedly.Based on this consistently high per-

On our journey, we have been fortu-nate to have loyal customers andbusiness partners with whom we

maintain close relationships. Withyour help, we have developed andcontinue to develop solutions thatmove our SunLightManagementmission forward. Last year, our colla-borative innovative capabilities wereagain acknowledged by a number ofhighly respected juries. Not only didwe receive the iF product designaward for our new P40 pergolaawning and the Plus X Award for ourBAline room automation system, butwe were also awarded Gold at theArchitects' Darling Awards.
Our work was also recognised at theBAU trade fair in Munich and the ISHin Frankfurt. We showed our solu-tions and innovations at these exhibi-tions and consistently received positi-ve feedback. We unveiled the largeslat systems from our Lübeck subsi-diary Wings Professional ProjectGmbH at the BAU in January 2013,generating considerable interest.WAREMA Nederland B.V. has beenpart of the WAREMA Group since themiddle of last year. The specialistsfrom Weert work closely with archi-tects and property developers todevelop solutions with an emphasis
on sliding, wing and folding shuttersas well as textile sun shading in awide variety of designs. These pro-ducts extend our range and offer new options for custom shadingconcepts.
We are therefore well equipped forthe new year and for the challengesthe future holds for us.

■ At the BAU in Munich, the world’s leading tradefair for architecture, materials and systems, welaunched our new “large slat” product line to thetrade.
■ From January, our staff benefited from the intro-duction of working-life accounts which allowthem greater workplace flexibility.
■ Under the banner of “Let's talk about the future”, we also focused on SunLightManagement at theISH in Frankfurt.

WAREMA supplied the sunshading and anti-glare protec-tion for the property. Around1,300 double glazed venetianblinds with 25 mm slats and24 V motor ensure glare-freeworking conditions and a pleasant room climate. Thebuilding received the Gold certificate from the GermanSustainable Building Council (DGNB) in August 2013 and isone of only four buildings in Germany to have achieved Goldin the “New office and administrative buildings” category. Inits report, the DGNB gave the building top marks for both itsenvironmental and economic performance.

Establishing new product linesOur newest subsidiaries Wings Professional Project GmbH andWAREMA Nederland B.V. are alsocreating new business opportunitiesfor us. Both companies focus ondeveloping special architectural solu-tions within the field of technical sunshading. They strengthen and extendour product portfolio in a special wayby introducing new product lines suchas large slats, sliding and foldingshutters – which benefits our interna-tional business in particular.
And they support us in our vision tocontinue supplying solutions for activeSunLightManagement that have beencarefully designed to satisfy the needsof architects and property developers.
The introduction of large slats and othernew solutions, such as sliding, wing andfolding shutters, enlarges our range of solutions for architecture, shading, energyefficiency and indoor climate.
Thanks to maximum stability, customs designs and enduring quality, they are making it possible to construct exciting facades in technically challenging areas.
Intelligent control systems are indispen-sable for active SunLightManagement.Design and functionality do not have to bemutually exclusive.Energy-efficient living means making the most of the sun’s free energy.Large slats give building exteriors a uniquelook and are very wind-stable.

In the past fiscal year 2013, the Super-visory Board regularly advised theExecutive Board and monitored therunning of the business. In threeregular meetings and on the basis ofmonthly reports by the ExecutiveBoard, the Supervisory Board wasinformed thoroughly of the economicsituation of the companies within theWAREMA Group and their areas ofresponsibility.
The Supervisory Board regularly keptitself informed about the economicsituation of the company and its divi-sions, the development of businessand corporate planning, and it con-sulted with the Executive Board withregard to the company’s businesssituation and strategic orientation.
During the course of these meetingsand in a written procedure, the Super-visory Board examined in detail anddiscussed matters requiring approvalbased on written reports prepared bythe Executive Board. The SupervisoryBoard agreed with the decisions pro-posed by the Executive Board in allcases. The Chairman of the Super-visory Board also held regular dis-cussions with the Executive Board.
The company has taken the opportuni-ty to combine the management reportand the notes to the consolidatedfinancial statements for WAREMARenkhoff SE and the Group.
The financial statements and consoli-dated financial statements of WAREMARenkhoff SE for the year ended 31December 2013, and the manage-
ment report, which is combined withthe Group management report, wereaudited by Max Zimmermann, cer-tified auditor in Augsburg, and wereissued an unqualified audit opinion.The Supervisory Board also examinedthese documents submitted by theExecutive Board.
The reports prepared by the auditorwere made available to all members of the Supervisory Board. The Super-visory Board agrees with the resultsof the final audit and approves thefinancial statements for the 2013 fiscalyear. The annual financial statementsare thus formally adopted and final.
The Executive Board’s proposal for theuse of the unappropriated profit avail-able for distribution was examined bythe Supervisory Board. The Super-

visory Board endorses the ExecutiveBoard’s proposal. After having exami-ned them, it raises no objections to the auditor’s findings.
The Supervisory Board wishes to thankthe Executive Board and the manage-ment of the WAREMA Group and itsemployees for their great personalcommitment and excellent perfor-mance throughout the past fiscal year.
