Over 2 Decades ofIPN® Material PerformanceUnrivaled performance since 1981,unmatched tooth variety and selection, unequivocal evidence of superiorityfrom rigorous scientific evaluations, and unparalleled protection of theindustry’s broadest tooth warranty –those are just a few of the reasons whycountless dental professionals trustTrubyte IPN teeth to satisfy their patients.
IPN teeth also offer an exceptional warranty againstexcessive wear, abrasion, stain, cracking, crazing and lossof luster. This guarantee ensures optimum function andoverall aesthetics.
And unlike other hardened plastic teeth, IPN teeth are ableto mimic the gradual wear of tooth enamel, while deliveringoutstanding occlusal integrity and long-lasting aesthetics. The low wearfeature is due to aproprietarychemistry thatemploys anInterpenetratingPolymer Network(IPN). This isformed when ahighly engineeredcross-linkedpolymer iscombined with a special cross-linked monomer to form ahighly wear-resistant double cross link.
Look for the Crescenton the linguals of Trubyte premiumanteriors and on the
buccal of the first molaron premium
posteriors. This isyour proof thatquality Trubyte IPNpremium teethwere used.
3 Shade SystemsOur Bioform Mould System is offered in three distinct IPNbrands, each in separate shade systems. These provide youwith significant aesthetic advantages: The ability toenhance every smile, to match existing dentition, and tosatisfy the most discriminating dental professionals andtheir patients.
Portrait® IPNPortrait IPN teeth are available in all 16 A-D shades, themost popular “Base 8” Bioform shades, as well as threemodern white shades in the illuminé™ range. Theseteeth – developed, tested and approvedthrough research involving morethan 2,000 dentists and labtechnicians from NorthAmerica – deliver anunmatched combinationof aesthetics, functionand performance. Eachanterior tooth blendsthree different shadedlayers of IPN material, creating five distinctaesthetic zones.
Bioform® IPNBioform IPN teeth feature the 24shades from the Bioform shadeguide, one of the most popularin removable prosthodontics. Each Bioform mould is an exactduplicate of a healthy, naturaltooth with all the subtleanatomical details so important to a lifelike appearance.
Bioblend® IPNThe 12 characterized blends ofBioblend IPN teeth are carriedacross the set and exemplifiedwith the three-tooth tabsdisplayed in the Bioblend blend
selector. Many ofthe moulds arecharacterized by the skilled hands of ourcraftspeople to mimic natural decalcificationand check lines.

The principle of natural aesthetic harmony between face form and maxillary anterior tootharrangement supports that there are four basic face form classifications observed in nature. This theory has been well demonstrated by clinical research and extensive application in manyprivate dental offices. For each of these categories, there is a workable corresponding basicanterior tooth arrangement. Similarly, modifications appearing in the basic face form may bereflected by corresponding modifications in the anterior arrangement. The Bioform® mouldsystem incorporates this aesthetic principle into each lifelike mould form which replicateshuman dentition.
Below, we describe and illustrate the four face forms. A suggested procedure is to use theTrubyte Tooth Indicator (#98981, pictured at right) to classify the patient by face form. Tospecify the desired arrangement, such as softened or vigorous, for the try-in denture, refer tothe Trubyte Anterior Set-Up booklet (#3900). Final individualizing can be accomplished at thetry-in appointment.

4 Basic Facial Forms
The Square Face
In the Square Face, the sides of the face from the hairline to the levelsof the condyles to the angles of the jaw are straight and parallel.
The Square Tapering Face
In the Square Tapering Face, the sides of the head are parallel fromthe condyles upward. From the condyles downward along the sides ofthe face, the outline tapers in to the angles of the jaw.
The Tapering Face
The Tapering Face is widest at the hairline and narrowest at theangles of the jaw. The lines converge in toward the jaw.
The Ovoid Face
The Ovoid Face is widest through the center at the level of thecondyles. It curves upward and downward to form an oval outline.
Trubyte classifies these forms even more stringently into seven category breakdownsfor even finer patient facial definition as demonstrated in the Mould Chart to follow.
The Bioform Mould Classification SystemSteps to Identify and Select Bioform Anterior Moulds
Classification 1. Square2. Square Tapering3. Square Ovoid4. Tapering5. Tapering Ovoid 6. Ovoid7. Square Tapering Ovoid
First NumberStep 1: Using the classification from the previous page, select the number from1 to 7 that best represents the patient’sfacial form.
The number selected is the first character of the mould identificationnumber, located in the upper left corner of the tooth card.
In the ovoid and ovoid combination forms, the mesio-distal aspect of the labial surface of the maxillarycentrals is more or less round. In the square, square tapering and tapering forms, it is more or less flat.
Proportionand ContourProportion of the Tooth 1. Long2.Medium3. Short4. Long5.Medium 6. Short
Second NumberStep 2:Using a flat device such as the TrubyteTooth Indicator (#98981), select thenumber from 1 to 6 that representsboth the proportion of the tooth (long, medium or short) as well as the facialcontour (straight or curved).
The number selected is the secondcharacter of the mould identificationnumber.
FacialContour StraightStraightStraightCurvedCurved Curved
LetterStep 3: Using the Trubyte MM Ruler (Part#3496), measure the width of the upper six anterior teeth on the curve, from distal to distal.
The measurement will fall into one ofthe ranges identified with the letters Bthrough J.
The letter selected is the third character of the mould identificationnumber.

TRUBYTE® IPN® SHADE CONVERSION CHART
For your convenience, the following chart provides a simple reference between several brands of anterior teeth and Vita® shades.
Shade matching is best done with a color corrected fluorescent lighthaving a Color Rendering Index above 90 or in natural daylight. Thistype of light source was used in our developmental research. For avariety of technical reasons, such as viewing and illuminating condi-tions, the perception of the shade match may vary.
Due to distinctive blend and shade characteristics of each brand ofteeth, exact comparisons are not possible.
