hi, i t 's november, which means i t 's t ime for the f i rst issue ol

overal l to hi t the streets. my name is j im and my staf f and i

would l ike to welcome you to the f i rst issue of our creat ion.

for me, overal ls have become a comfortable way to deal wi th the

ever changing world of fashion, but most important ly the realm of

funct ion as wel1. i th ink that the s laf f and anyone who wears

overal ls wi l l agree. our 1i t t1e magazine is dedicated to br inging

you gual i ty and not quant i ty. we hope Lo br ing togelher the

scenes to layback and browse thru our publ icat ion. thanks for

taking an interest , support ing the " locaIs" and buying a copy.

overal lthe overai l dares back to the late 19 ceniury, where the

garment was used as a work c lothing. the overal l was usual ly worn

over c lothing to protect i t f rom the work environment ' usual ly a

ranch, steelmi l I , b lacksmith or pr inter. I t was also adopted

quickly by Lhe farmer. they of ten ta lk about the "baggies" and

how his or her pair lasted 20 years, mind you with mj- lk inq of the

cows and feeding the pigs dai1y. wi th ihe denim revolut ion cf the

sixt ies, the overal I was once again adoPted. but th is t ime by the

count er- cul ture . many bf the "hippies" wore the garment as they

struggled through the the protesl movement of the late 60's and

ear ly 70's. today the garment is worn by many indiv iduals of the

assorted workforces. i t j -s also a garment donned by many members

of the var ious underground scenes. the overal I has stood the test

of t i . rne for wel l over 100 years. tested, t r ied and true' the
