In 2020 there were 29 overdosefatalities during the first half ofthe year, identical to 2019.

However, there were 9more fatalities during the

second half of the year.

According to SAMHSA, substanceabuse disorders occur when therecurrent use of alcohol and/ordrugs causes clinically andfunctionally significantimpairment, such as healthproblems, disability, and failureto meet major responsibilities atwork, school, or home.
