Your CardStudio 2.0 software key is stored and managed via an online License key management portal at https://CardStudio.Zebra.com .

By logging into this portal CardStudio 2.0 customers can register, activate and manage their individual Software license keys. In addition, first time users can automatically access a no-cost Demo Trial key as well as manage subsiquent CardStudio License key purchases.

Upon purchase, CardStudio 2.0 License keys are distributed via a software activation link that is provided via e-mail or printed on the physical package. The software activation link has this general format:

Each Software activation link is unique and coded to enable a license key for a specific Edition or version of CardStudio 2.0 software such as: Demo, Classic, Standard, Enterprise, Professional or an upgrade edition.

Please refer first to the general instructions for downloading, installing and activating your CardStudio 2.0 Software at https://CardStudio.Zebra.com/Setup

Do not click on your CardStudio 2.0 activation link until you have downloaded and followed the installation and registration process above. The link is for a one time regisration and once exchanged for a license key is no longer valid.

ACCESS A NO COST CARDSTUDIO DEMO TRIAL KEY

NEW FIRST TIME USERS OF CARDSTUDIO 2.0 WHO DO NOT HAVE A LICENSE KEY AND WANT TO DOWNLOAD AND USE A 30 DAY DEMO TRIAL OF CARDSTUDIO 2.0

The CardStudio 2.0 Demo trial key is for CardStudio Professional Edition only. It is valid for 30 days and Prints with a “Demo” Watermark. Customers who purchase a Live CardStudio license key must deactivate their Demo Trial key first, and then reactivate CardStudio with their new purchased license key acivation link.

The following steps enable a no-cost demo license key for first time CardStudio or Zebra customers only. If you already have a CardStudio software activation link please go to instructions for “Registering CardStudio Software with a Software Activation link” below.

Step 1: Go to CardStudio.zebra.com

Step 2: Download and install CardStudio 2.0 software (A)

Step 3: If you already have a Zebra Customer Registraion User Name and password go directly to Step 5.

Step 4: New users need to register for a Zebra Customer Regisration ID Login (B)

a. Click B and follow this process for registering your email address user name and password.

b. This is a one time process and you should remember or write down your Zebra Customer Regisration User Name and password.

Step 5: Then Return to https://cardstudio.zebra.com and “Login with Zebra ID” above ( C )

Step 6: New first time users will see a Trial License key box pop up has shown here.

Step7: Open up CardStudio Software (DesignStudio or PrintStudio)

a. You will be prompted on initial launch to enter your license key.

b. Using Windows copy and paste, copy your license key from Step 6 above into the CardStudio Registration window.

c. You are all set with a registered version of CardStudio 2.0 software.

ACTIVATING CARDSTUDIO 2.0 WITH A SOFTWARE ACTIVATION LINK.

THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR NEW FIRST TIME USERS OR EXISTING USERS WHO HAVE PURCHASED CARDSTUDIO 2.0 LICENSE KEY ACTIVATION LINK.

CardStudio 2.0 License keys are distributed via software activation link:

https://cardstudio.zebra.com/activate/ZBRXXXXXXX

Each Software activation link is unique and coded to enable a license key for a specific Edition or version of CardStudio 2.0 software such as: Demo, Classic, Standard, Enterprise, Professional or a upgrade edtion.

Note the CardStudio 2.0 activation link is a one time process only and cannot be used twice. Do not click or use an activation link unless it is your software purchase.

General instructions for downloading, installing and activating your CardStudio Software via a software activation link can be found at https://cardStudio.Zebra.com/Setup

Step 1: Go to CardStudio.zebra.com

Setp 2: Download and install CardStudio 2.0 software (Link A)

Step 3: If you already have a Zebra Customer Regisration User Name and password go directly to Step 5.

Step 4: New users need to register for a Zebra Customer ID Login (Link B)

a. Click Link B and follow this process for registering your email address user name and password.

b. This is a one time process and you should remember or write down your Zebra Customer User Name and password.

Setp 5: Once you have your Zebra Customer Registration User ID Name and Password you can then associate the CardStudio 2.0 Activation link provided with your Software Purchase for the Software license key.

a. Click on, or type in the Software Activation Link (URL) provided in your email or on the Physical SW package into your Windows browser. This unique onetime use Software Activation Link will take you to the CardStudio 2.0 License Manager.

b. When prompted please log into the CardStudio License Manager website with your Zebra.com Customer Username and Password (Created in Step 4 above) by clicking on Link C

c. After using the Activation Link to log into the License Manager your Software License Key will appear in a pop-up ready for you to copy and paste into your CardStudio 2.0 software to complete the installation and software key activation.

Step 6: Open up CardStudio Software (DesignStudio or PrintStudio)

d. You will be prompted on initial launch to enter your license key.

e. Using Windows copy and paste, copy your license key from 5C above into the CardStudio Registration window.

f. You are all set with a registered version of CardStudio 2.0 software.

Note: If the pop-up is clicked away, you can always find your key by selecting the “Key” Icon in your License Manager Account.

HOW TO DISCONNECT OR UPGRADE A LICENSE KEY

The CardStudio 2.0 Software lets you disconnect your license key from the software installation, so you can use the License key on another PC installation. For example, when you buy a new computer you can install the CardStudio 2.0 Software on your new computer, disconnect the License Key from CardStudio 2.0 on you old computer and then use your existing Software key to register the new PC.

This process also allows you to upgrade your SW license key installation from a Demo Trial version to a Classic, Standard, Enterprise or Professional version.

The following are the easy steps to disconnect or upgrade your license key used with the CardStudio 2.0 Software:

Step 1. Navigate to License information

Start DesignStudio or PrintStudio and click on the “Help” button in the main menu. Then select “License information” in the submenu. Press “Ok” to confirm and disconnect the license key from this installation.

Step 2. Disconnect license key

Now click on the button to “Remove license”. CardStudio prompts a warning, asking if you are sure you want to remove the license key from this system.

You can always find the license key disconnected from the software in your License Manager account.

Next to removing the license key, it is possible to upgrade a key.

First step is to go to License information under the “Help” button in the main menu.

Then click on the “Activate” button to copy and paste the license key you received from the CardStudio License Manager to upgrade to this new edition.

The projects and designs created with the trial key version will stay available to use after upgrade to a Standard, Enterprise or Professional Edition.

CARDSTUDIO LICENSE KEY ACTIVATION NOTES:

Zebra PartnerConnect partners and Zebra employees should use their existing PartnerConnect or SSO User username/password to login to https://cardStudio.zebra.com .

Never click on a CardStudio Activation link unless this is your SW key or purchase. They are onetime use only and get assigned and registered to the first person that clicks on the license key.

A user can have more than one license key assigned to them in the License Manager portal. This allows one user to manage multiple keys for multi workstation deployments.

Users can deactivate and move their key from one PC to another at anytime.
