• Turning off the power switch does not completely isolatethis product from the power line so remove the plug fromthe socket if not using it for extended periods of time.

• Install this product near the wall socket and keep the powerplug easily accessible.

• WARNING—This apparatus shall be connected to a mainssocket outlet with a protective earthing connection.

• Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. the incorrect values.

E DO NOT attempt to remove the amplifier chassis,

there are no user serviceable parts.

F Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel

including replacement of fuses and valves. Servic-

ing is required when the apparatus has been

CAUTION: Any changes or modifications not expressly

approved by the party responsible for compliance

Note: It is recommended that all audio cables, with the

exception of the speaker lead, used to connect to

the AC15/AC30 Heritage Collection are of a high

quality, screened type. These should not exceed 10

metres in length.

Always use a non-screened Vox approved speaker

lead with the AC15/AC30 Amplifier and extension

cabinets.

WARNING: Do not obstruct ventilation grilles and

always ensure free movement of air around the

amplifier!

INTRODUCTIONYour search for the Holy Grail of VOX tone ends here. To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of VOX guitar

amplifiers, we are pleased to introduce the first of a new Heritage Collection of hand-wired amplifiers– the

AC15H1TV. Rather than just a typical reissue where a vintage amp is dusted off and copied, this amplifier,

like the others in the Heritage Collection, transports you through the golden age of VOX tone, combining

the prized EF86 preamp channel of 1958 with the 1963 Top Boost channel all in one amplifier. Add in some

modern tone shaping control enhancements and the result is perhaps the finest VOX amplifier in the

company’s 50 year history.

The EF86: The magical VOX toneWhat is it that makes EF86 based VOX amplifiers some of the most collectible in the world? Maybe it’s the

way the amp naturally overdrives, almost breathing with a life unto its own. Dynamic changes in pick attack

almost seem to be anticipated before you make them. Or maybe it’s the raw power of the creamy distortion

as you crank the amp all the way up and slam down on a power chord. Whatever it is, there is an undeni-

able magic about this period of VOX amplification. An age when the most simple of circuits produced some

of the most complex of tones. Now in short supply, the EF86 Pentode tube is at the heart of this elusive

tone. Fifty years later, the magic returns.

The full 50th Anniversary Hand-wired Heritage Collection includes:

AC15H1TV: Although basically the same amp as the limited edition model, the cabinet is Baltic Birchplywood with our special cream anniversary vinyl covering. Launched January 2007.

AC15H1TVL: 1 x 12” combo with limited edition, oil finished, hand-crafted African Mahogany cabi-net. This is the official limited edition Anniversary model, and only 500 will be built.These amps are true collector’s editions! Launched January 2007.

AC15HTVH: The head version of the classic 50th anniversary 15 watt amp. Again Baltic Birch plywith special cream vinyl. Launched March 2007.

V112HTV: 1 x 12” extension cabinet to match AC15HTVH. Cream vinyl over Baltic birch plycabinet. Launched March 2007.

AC30H2: Although basically the same amp as the limited edition AC30H2L, the cabinet isBaltic Birch plywood with our special cream anniversary vinyl covering. LaunchedJuly 2007.

AC30H2L: The anniversary amplifier chassis boosted from 15 watts up to 30 watts housed in oilfinished, hand-crafted African Mahogany cabinet. This is the official limited editionAnniversary model, and only 500 will be built. Launched July 2007.

AC30HH: The head version of the above. Launched July 2007.

V212H: 2 x 12” speaker cabinet for use with the AC30 Anniversary combo and head formats.Launched July 2007.

All combos and extension cabinets feature the Celestion VOX Blue Alnico loudspeakers—as timeless as

VOX itself.

In creating our 50th Anniversary design we all felt that the amp had to have both the original EF86 channel

and the later Top Boost channel. To do this we had to leave the original tremolo circuit out—but you can

always add VOX’s VibraVox stomp box if it is tremolo you crave.

Although the original designs have faired pretty well for the last 50 years, we felt that we should throw a

little bit of modern spice into the equation, and have added one or two features that we felt would expand

the whole experience of these amps. Namely we have modified the EF86 Channel original Brilliance switch

to have three positions instead of two, a bass shift switch (to help keep the amp sounding crisp when

played loud), and also a switch that goes from Pentode mode to Triode mode, so that you can have both

flavours of original EF86 tone. We have also added a Triode/Pentode switch to the power output amplifier

stage—with this you have the half power capability of 7.5/15 watts output on the AC15 versions, and 15/30

watts on the AC30 versions.

CHANNEL I – EF86 PREAMP

1. INPUT JACK SOCKETSGuitar input jacks into the EF86 channel. These are wired in the traditional way that gives a 6dB

difference in gain between them. The socket nearer the front of the amp is the higher gain, the

one nearest the rear of the chassis is 6dB quieter.

2. VOLUME CONTROLControls the volume level of the EF86 channel.

3. BRILLIANCE SWITCHThis is based on the original tone altering control from the original AC15 which basically was Off

or had a massive bass cut function (which by its nature made the sound “brilliant”, but no bass).

We felt that the two original positions were too extreme, so we have expanded this to have three

positions, the new position being like the early AC30 “TREBLE” amps. So the function now is: -

OFF = flat response, 1 = treble (new position), 2 = brilliance (original circuit)

4. BASS SHIFTPosition 1 is the original bass response, whilst position 2 gives a tighter bass response which is

useful for high volume use to prevent the tone getting too muddy.

5. EF86 MODEThis switch re-configures the EF86 valve from Pentode mode to Triode mode. Triode mode will

give a lower gain tone with higher headroom. Pentode mode is the original mode and has a very

sweet high gain tone with not very much headroom.

CHANNEL II – TOP BOOST PREAMP

6. INPUT JACK SOCKETSGuitar input jacks into the Top Boost channel. These are wired in the traditional way that gives a

6dB difference in gain between them. The socket nearer the front of the amp is the higher gain,

the one nearest the rear of the chassis is 6dB quieter.

7. VOLUME CONTROLControls the volume level of the Top Boost channel.

8. TREBLE CONTROLPart of the 1963 Top Boost circuit, and strangely enough; this controls the treble spectrum of the

channel!

9. BASS CONTROLAgain part of the 1963 Top Boost circuit—and by the way, controls the bass spectrum.

NOTE ! For newcomers to using a classic VOX, the Top Boost bass & treble controls are extremelyinteractive and small adjustments can make quite a radical change to the tone, as both controlshave a big influence on how the mid-range reacts. Our suggestion is to start off with both theBass & Treble controls in the mid-way position, and experiment from there. And another thing,maximum treble can be very, very bright!

10. TOP CUTThis is/was the original (and only!) tone control on the early VOX amps and works as part of the

power amp circuit by cutting the high frequency response.

Please remember that it works in reverse to how we would expect it to in the modern age—the

high end is cut as you turn the control up, i.e. maximum control rotation is maximum cut.

11. O/P MODE SWITCHThis switch changes the power output valves/tubes from Pentode Mode which is the normal

operating mode of the power amplifier to Triode Mode which will halve the power output and will

alter the tone to be somewhat smoother. So Pentode = full power = 15 watts (AC15 versions) or

30 watts (AC30 versions). Triode = half power = 7.5 watts (AC15 versions) or 15 watts (AC30

versions).

12. POWER SWITCHTurns the applied input mains voltage ON/OFF.

13. POWER LIGHTIlluminates red when the amp is switched on.

WARNING ! Please ensure that your amplifier is connected to the correct mains power voltage—pleasecheck the rear panel rating plate. If in doubt consult dealer.

WARNING ! NEVER operate this amplifier without the loudspeaker load being connected. Serious damagecan occur otherwise.

WARNING ! This amplifier must always be earthed (grounded) to prevent the risk of electrical shock.

14.LOUDSPEAKER OUTPUT SOCKETSIt is of paramount importance that any speaker system that is connected to your amplifier is

correctly matched in impedance. Internal speaker(s) of both AC15 and AC30 is 16ohm totally.

AC15: Either internal or external loudspeakers are connected to these parallel connected sock-

ets.

AC30: Internal speaker is connected to the socket underneath the chassis. Rear panel sockets

can be used for extension or external connection.

EXTENSION: This socket and internal speaker are connected in parallel.

EXTERNAL: The connection to this socket automatically disconnects internal speaker.

15. OUPUT IMPEDANCE SELECT SWITCHUse this switch to match the amplifier output impedance to the speaker system impedance.

Failure to do so can result in incorrect sound quality and/or damage to either amplifier or speaker.

16. MAINS POWER INPUT CONNECTORUsing the correct power cord apply specified mains power here. Please refer to rear panel rating

plate and/or consult dealer, if in doubt. Please see specification section for correct fuse value.

A Utilisez TOUJOURS le cordon d’alimentation fourni. Si

vous devez remplacer le cordon, veuillez contacter votre

revendeur agréé Vox.

B NE mettez PAS l’amplificateur sous tension quand un

haut-parleur lui est raccordé.

C ASSUREZ-VOUS que l’impédance de toutes les

INTRODUCTIONVotre quête du saint Graal Son Vox se termine ici. Pour commémorer le 50ème anniversaire des amplis

guitares Vox, nous sommes heureux de vous proposer l’AC15H1TV, le premier ampli de la collection

Héritage, câblée entièrement à la main. Plus qu’une simple réédition où un ampli vintage et dépoussiéré et

copié, cet ampli, comme tous les autres qui composent la collection Héritage, vous transporte dans l’âge

d’or du son Vox, combinant dans un seule et même ampli le très primé canal préampli EF86 de 1958 et le

canal Top Boost de 1963. Ajoutez à cela des contrôles de son améliorés et modernes et vous obtenez peut

être le plus pure ampli Vox des 50 ans d’histoire de la société.

Le EF86 : Le son magique VoxQu’est ce qui rend les amplis vox basés sur le EF86, les amplis les plus collectionnés au monde? Peut être

est ce la manière dont ils saturent naturellement, presque respirant et vivant. Les changements de dynamique

en pic d’attaque semblent presque être anticipés avant même de les avoir fait. Ou peut être est-ce la

puissance brute de la distorsion crémeuse lorsque vous poussez l’ampli dans ses retranchements et jouez

en power chords. Quoi que ce soit, il y a une magie indéniable autour de cette période de l’amplification

Vox. Un âge où le plus simple des circuits produisait les sons les plus complexes. Maintenant en édition

limitée, le EF86 Pentode à lampe est au cœur de ce son insaisissable. 50 ans après, la magie revient.

AC30H2: Bien que ce soit le même ampli que l’édition limitée AC30H2L, l’enceinte est faite deBouleau baltique contreplaqué doté d’une finition vinyle crème spéciale anniversaire.Lancée en Juillet 2007.

AC30H2L: Le châssis de cet ampli anniversaire délivre de 15 Watts à 30 watts, intégré dans uneenceinte, fabriquée main, en acajou africain avec finition huilée. C’est la version offi-cielle, édition limitée anniversaire à seulement 500 pièces. Lancée en Juillet 2007.

AC30HH: La version tête de l’AC30H2, lancé en Juillet 2007.

V212H: Enceinte 2 x 12” spécialement conçu pour les AC30H2 et AC30HH. Lancé en Juillet2007.

Tous les combos et extensions proposent des HP Celestion Blue Alnico – aussi intemporels que Vox.

En créant le design de notre 50ème anniversaire nous avons tous ressentis que cet ampli devait avoir,

d’une part ; le canal EF86 original mais aussi d’autre part le canal Top Boost. Pour ce faire, nous avons dû

mettre de côté le circuit Tremolo original. Cependant vous pouvez toujours ajouter à votre configuration

une pédale Vox Vibravox pour retrouver le fameux Tremolo Vox.

Bien que les designs originaux étaient tout à fait bons depuis 50 ans, nous ressentions qu’il fallait ajouter

une once de modernité à l’équation. Nous avons donc ajouté quelques équipements qui, nous pensons,

élargiront les capacités de ces amplis. Nous avons modifiés le switch du canal original EF86 de manière à

obtenir 3 positions plutôt que 2, nous avons aussi ajoutés un switch "shift Bass" pour vous aider à con-

tinuer à faire sonner votre ampli bien mordant lorsque vous jouer fort et pour finir, nous avons ajouté un

switch qui vous offre la possibilité de passer en mode Pentode ou Triode de manière à vous permettre

d’obtenir le meilleur du son original de l’EF86. Nous avons aussi ajouté un switch Pentode/Triode à l’étage

d’ampli de puissance. Ce dernier vous permet de diviser par deux la puissance de sortie de votre ampli :

7.5 ou 15 Watts pour les versions AC15 et 15/30 Watts pour les versions AC30.

CANAL I – PREAMPLI EF86

1. ENTRÉES JACKBranchez ici votre guitare au canal EF86. Ces entrées sont câblées de la manière traditionnelle

et donc offrent une différence de 6dB de gain entre elles. L’entrée la plus proche de l’arrière du

châssis est l’entrée haute intensité. L’entrée la plus proche de la face avant de l’ampli est celle à

haut gain, celle la plus loin de la face avant offre 6dB de moins.

2. CONTROLE DE VOLUMEContrôle le volume du canal EF86.

3. SWITCH BRILLANCECelui ci est basé sur le contrôle d’altération de son original, présent sur l’AC15 qui était soit éteint

ou alors avait une incroyable propension à couper les basses (ce qui par nature rendait le son

plus brillant, sans basse). Nous pensions que ces deux positions étaient trop extrêmes et avons

donc élargi ses possibilités en utilisant un switch 3 positions. La nouvelle position étant comme

sur les amplis AC30 “Treble”. De fait le nouveau fonctionnement est: Eteint = pas de réponse, 1

= Aigu (nouvelle position), 2 = Brillance (circuit original).

4. COMMUTATEUR BASSELa position 1 offre la réponse basse originelle alors que la position 2 offre une plus faible réponse

de basse, très utile lorsque vous jouez à fort volume évitant ainsi que votre son ne devienne trop

“boueux” et imprécis.

5. MODE EF86Ce switch reconfigure la lampe EF86 la faisant passer du mode Pentode au mode Triode. Ce

dernier vous donnera un son au gain plus faible et doté d’une plus grande largeur. Le mode

Pentode est le mode original est offre un son doux, un peu étriqué et à haut gain.

CANAL II – PREAMP TOP BOOST

NOTE ! Pour les nouveaux utilisateurs des “Classic” Vox, les contrôles de basses et d’aigus du canal TopBoost sont hautement interactifs et de faibles ajustements peuvent radicalement changer le sonpuisque chaque contrôle a une haute influence sur la façon dont la gamme de médiums réagit.Notre suggestion est de commencer avec les contrôles des aigus et des basses en position“milieu” et expérimentez à partir de là. Une autre chose, les aigus à font peuvent être vraimenttrès, très brillants !!!

10. TOP CUTC’est/était le contrôle de tonalité original (et le seul !) disponible sur les tous premiers amplis VOX

et agit sur l’ampli de puissance en coupant la réponse en fréquences aigues. Plus vous tournez

la commande vers la droite, plus les hautes fréquences diminuent; plus vous la tournez vers la

gauche, plus les hautes fréquences augmentent.

11. SWITCH MODE O/PCe switch change les lampes de puissance de mode Pentode, qui est le mode normal de fonc-

tionnement de l’ampli de puissance, en mode Triode qui divisera la puissance de l’ampli par deux

tout en modifiant légèrement le son (plus doux). Donc Pentode = pleine puissance = 15 Watts

(version AC15) ou 30 Watts (version AC30). Triode = Demie puissance = 7.5 Watts (version

AC15) ou 15 Watts (version AC30).

14. SORTIES HPL’impédance de votre système de haut-parleur doit obligatoirement correspondre à l’impédance

de votre amplificateur. Le speaker(s) interne d'AC15 et d'AC30 est 16ohm totalement.

AC15: Les haut-parleurs internes et externes sont connectés aux prises connectées en paral-

lèle.

AC30: Le haut-parleur interne est connecté à la prise qui se trouve sous le châssis. Les empla-

cements du panneau arrière peuvent être utilisés comme extension ou connexion ex-

terne.

EXTENSION: Cette prise est connectée en parallèle au haut-parleur interne.

EXTERNAL: La connexion à cette prise se déconnecte automatiquement au haut-

parleur interne.

15. SELECTEUR D’IMPEDANCE DE SORTIEUtilisez ce switch pour faire correspondre l’impédance de sortie de votre ampli à l’impédance

requise par le baffle ou le système HP. Une mauvaise correspondance peut détériorer le son et/

ou endommager sérieusement votre ampli et/ou les HP.

EINLEITUNGIhre Suche nach dem heiligen Gral des VOX Tons endet hier. Zur Feier des 50-jährigen Jubiläums der VOXGitarrenverstärker freuen wir uns, den ersten Verstärker einer neuen handgefertigten Heritage Collectionpräsentieren zu können – den AC15H1TV. Anstatt einer abgestaubten Neuauflage eines Vintage Ampshandelt es sich bei diesem, wie auch bei den anderen Amps der Heritage Collection, um eine Neukombinationklassischer Elemente in einem einzigen Gerät: nämlich dem ausgezeichneten EF86 Preamp Kanal von1958 und dem Top Boost Kanal von 1963. Dazu kommen ein paar moderne Verbesserungen in derTonregelung und das Resultat ist der vielleicht feinste VOX Amp der 50-jährigen Firmengeschichte.

Der EF86: Der magische VOX TonWas macht die EF86 basierten VOX Amps zu den begehrtesten Sammlerstücken der Welt? Vielleicht istes ihr natürliches Übersteuerungsverhalten, das beinahe ein Eigenleben entwickelt. DynamischeÄnderungen im Anschlag scheinen vorweggenommen zu werden. Oder vielleicht ist es die rohe Kraft derweichen Verzerrung, wenn Sie den Amp ganz hochdrehen und einen Powerchord anschlagen. Im Entwurf unseres 50th Anniversary Designs hatten wir bereits das Gefühl, dass der Amp einerseits denoriginalen EF86 Kanal und den späteren Top Boost Kanal haben müsste. Dafür mussten wir die originaleTremolo-Schaltung weglassen – Sie können aber jederzeit das VOX VIBRAVOX, aus der Cooltron TubePedal Serie dazunehmen, falls es das Tremolo ist, das Sie brauchen.

Obwohl das originale Design die letzten 50 Jahre gut genug war, wollten wir die Klangregelung etwasmoderner würzen und haben ein paar Details verändert, von denen wir glauben, dass sie den Spaß an denAmps steigern werden. Zunächst haben wir beim originalen Brilliance Schalter des EF86 Kanals dreiStellungen statt zwei vorgesehen und haben einen Bass Shift Schalter (der den Klang der Amps auch beihohen Lautstärken knackig hält) und einen Schalter für Pentode auf Triode Modus eingebaut, damit Siebeide Geschmacksrichtungen des originalen EF86 Tons zur Verfügung haben. Außerdem haben wir einenTriode/Pentode Schalter im Endverstärker eingebaut, womit man die Ausgangsleistung des 7,5/15 WattAusgangs der AC15 Versionen bzw. 15/30 Watt der AC30 Versionen halbieren kann.

CHANNEL I – EF86 PREAMP

1. EINGANGSBUCHSENGitarreneingänge in den EF86 Kanal. Diese sind auf traditionelle Weise verkabelt, so dass eseine Verstärkungs-Differenz von 6dB zwischen ihnen gibt. Die Buchse näher zur Vorderseite desAmps hat die höhere Verstärkung, die Buchse näher zur Gehäuse-Rückwand ist 6dB leiser.

2. LAUTSTÄRKEREGLERBestimmt die Lautstärke des EF86 Kanals.

BRILLIANCESCHALTERDieser basiert auf dem originalen Schalter des originalen AC15, welcher die Stellungen OFF undeine starke Bassunterdrückungsfunktion hatte (was den Klang „brillant“ aber basslos machte).Wir fanden die beiden originalen Stellungen zu extrem und haben deshalb eine dritte Positioneingefügt, wobei die neue Position ähnlich der frühen AC30 „TREBLE“ Amps ist. ANMERKUNG ! Anmerkung für Frischlinge bei klassischen VOX Amps! Die Top Boost Bass & Treble Reglerwirken extrem direkt und bereits eine kleine Drehung verändert den Ton radikal, da beide Reglereinen starken Einfluss auf die Reaktion des Mittenbereichs haben. Unsere Empfehlung ist,zunächst beide Regler in Mittelstellung zu bringen und dann mit leichten Änderungen zuexperimentieren. Und noch etwas: der Treble Regler nach ganz rechts gedreht betont die Höhenunerhört stark!

10. TOP CUTDas ist/war der originale (und einzige!) Tonregler an frühen VOX Amps. Er ist Teil desEndverstärkers und dämpft die Höhen.Beachten Sie, dass er umgekehrt arbeitet, wie man es heute allgemein erwarten würde – dieHöhen werden um so stärker bedämpft, je weiter der Regler nach rechts gedreht wird.

O/P MODE SCHALTERDieser Schalter ändert die Röhren des Endverstärkers vom Pentode Modus, welches seinenormale Betriebsart ist, in den Triode Modus, was die Ausgangsleistung halbiert und den Tonetwas weicher macht. Das heißt Pentode = volle Kraft = 15 Watt (AC15 Versionen) oder 30 Watt(AC30 Versionen). Triode = halbe Kraft = 7,5 Watt (AC15 Versionen) oder 15 Watt (AC30Versionen).

14. LOUDSPEAKER OUTPUT ANSCHLÜSSEVon größter Bedeutung ist die Tatsache, dass angeschlossene Lautsprecherboxen mit derImpedanz des Verstärker absolut korrekt übereinstimmen müssen. Die Impedanz der integriertenLautsprecher, sowohl beim AC15 als auch beim AC30, beträgt 16 Ohm (Gesamtimpedanz).

INTRODUCCIÓNTu búsqueda del Santo Grial de VOX acaba aquí. Para conmemorar el 50 Aniversario de los amplificadoresde guitarra VOX, estamos orgullosos de presentar el primero de una nueva colección ’Heritage Collection’de amplificadores con cableado a mano: el AC15H1TV. En lugar de una simple reedición de un amplificadorclásico que es copiado de nuevo, este amplificador como otros de la colección Heritage, te transportará ala edad de oro del sonido VOX, combinando el premiado previo EF86 de1958 con el Top Boost 1963 en unsólo amplificador. Añade a ello varios controles actuales de control sonoro y el resultado es, quizá, elmejor amplificador VOX en sus 50 años de historia.

El EF86: El sonido mágico VOX¿Qué es lo que hace que los amplificadores VOX basados en el EF86 sean unos de los más codiciados ycoleccionados del mundo? Quizá sea esa saturación natural del amplificador, que tiene casi vida propia.Los cambios dinámicos en el ataque parece que son anticipados antes de que los toques. O quizá sea lapotencia desbocada de la incomparable distorsión al subir el amplificador al máximo y tocar un acorde.Sea lo que sea, hay una magia indudable en este periodo de amplificadores VOX. Una era en la que loscircuitos más sencillos producían unos de los sonidos más complejos. Al crear nuestro diseño de 50 Aniversario todos pensamos que el amplificador debería tener tanto el canaloriginal EF86 como el más moderno Top Boost. Para conseguirlo tuvimos que eliminar el circuito originalde trémolo, pero siempre puedes incorporar una unidad VOX VibraVox si es trémolo lo que necesitas.

Aunque los diseños originales se han vendido muy bien durante los últimos 50 años, pensamos quedebíamos de incorporar un poco de especia moderna a la ecuación, y hemos añadido una o doscaracterísticas que creemos expandirán el sonido des estos amplis. Hemos modificado el control Bril-liance del canal original EF86 para que tenga tres posiciones en lugar de dos, hemos añadido un controlBass Shift (para mantener el sonido de gran claridad y definición cuando se sube el volumen), y tambiénun control que conmuta de modo Pentodo a modo Tríodo, para que puedas disponer de ambos sonidosdel tono original EF86. Hemos añadido también un conmutador Tríodo/Pentodo para conmutar la etapadel amplificador de potencia: que ofrece la capacidad de conmutar a media potencia 7.5/15 varios en lasversiones AC15, y 15/30 vatios en las versiones AC30.

CHANNEL I – EF86 PREAMPLIFICADOR

1. ENTRADAS INPUTEntradas para guitarra al Canal EF86. Están conectadas de la forma tradicional, que ofrece unadiferencia de 6dB de ganancia entre ellas. La entrada más cercana al frontal del ampli es la deganancia más alta, y la otra más cercana al panel trasero del ampli tiene una ganancia 6dBmenor.

2. CONTROL VOLUMEControla en nivel de volumen del Canal EF86.

3. Conmutador BRILLIANCEEstá basado en el control de tono original AC15, que básicamente estaba desactivado o biencortaba drásticamente los graves (que por lo tanto hacía que el sonido fuera ‘brillante’ pero singraves). Hemos pensado que las dos posiciones originales eran demasiado extremas, así quelo hemos ampliado a tres posiciones, con la nueva posición que corresponde a los amplificadoresclásicos AC30 “TREBLE”. Así que las posiciones ahora son: - OFF = respuesta plana, 1 = agudos(nueva posición), 2 = brilliance (circuito original)

4. BASS SHIFTLa posición 1 es la respuesta de graves original, mientras que la posición 2 ofrece una respuestade graves más ajustada lo cual es muy útil para cuando se toca a gran volumen, para evitar queel sonido sea demasiado difuso.

5. EF86 MODEEste conmutador reconfigura la válvula EF86 de funcionamiento como Pentodo a Tríodo. Elmodo de Triodo ofrece un tono de menor ganancia con mayor espacio sonoro libre (headroom).El modo Pentodo es el original y ofrece un sonido de ganancia de agudos muy suave sin tantoespacio sonoro libre.

¡NOTA! Para los usuarios que utilicen por primera vez un VOX clásico, los controles Top Boost bass &treble son extremadamente interactivos, y pequeños ajustes pueden hacer que el sonido cambieradicalmente, ya que ambos controles tienen gran influencia en la forma en que reaccionan losmedios. Nuestra sugerencia es comenzar con ambos controles Bass & Treble en la posiciónintermedia, y experimentar a partir de ahí. El control de agudos al máximo puede ser ¡muy, muybrillante!

10. TOP CUTEste era el único control de tono de los primeros amplis VOX y funciona como parte del circuitode amplificador de potencia cortando la respuesta a las altas frecuencias. Por favor recuerdaque funciona en sentido contrario a como podríamos esperar en la actualidad: los agudos secortan al subir el control, es decir, el control al máximo ofrece el corte máximo.

Conmutador O/P MODEEste conmutador cambia las válvulas de potencia de Modo Pentodo, que es el Modo normal delfuncionamiento del amplificador a Modo Triodo que ofrece la mitad de potencia de salida y alterael tono de forma que resulta algo más suave. Pentodo = potencia total = 15 vatios (versionesAC15) o 30 vatios (versiones AC30). Triodo = mitad de potencia = 7.5 vatios (versiones AC15) o15 vatios (versiones AC30).

12. Conmutador POWEREnciende y apaga la unidad.

13. Indicador POWERSe ilumina en rojo cuando el amplificador está encendido.

14. Salidas LOUDSPEAKER OUTPUTEs de vital importancia que cualquier recinto de altavoces que se conecte al amplificador seajuste correctamente a su impedancia. En el caso del AC15 y AC30 la impedancia total de losaltavoces internos es de 16 ohmios.

AC15: tanto los altavoces internos como los externos se conectan en estas dos tomas paralelas.

AC30: El altavoz interno se conecta a la toma que hay debajo del chasis. Las tomas de altavozdel panel trasero se usan para recintos externos.EXTENSION: Esta toma y el altavoz interno van conectados en paralelo.EXTERNAL: La conexión a esta toma desactiva automáticamente el altavoz interno.

15. Conmutador OUPUT IMPEDANCEUse este conmutador para que coincida la impedancia de salida del amplificador con la impedanciadel sistema de altavoces. Un incorrecto Ajuste puede dar como resultado un mal sonido y/odaños al amplificador o altavoces.

はじめに

VOXギター・アンプ・サウンドの一つの究極がここにあります。VOX設立50周年を記念するにあたり、ここに自信を持ってヘリテイジ・コレクションの第1弾モデルAC15H1TVをご紹介いたします。ただし、この機種はオールド・アンプを引っ張り出してきて掃除し、コピーしただけのような普通のリイシューとは異なるものです。このヘリテイジ・コレクションのアンプによって、オーナーの方には時代によって変化してきたVOXアンプの輝かしいサウンド、1958年に採用されたEF86（プリアンプ管）によるプリアンプと、1963年に登場したトップ・ブースト回路によるプリアンプを一度に体験して頂くことができます。また、音色を調節するための新しい工夫もいくつか付け加えてあります。おそらく、このシリーズはVOXアンプ50年の歴史の中でもっとも優れた機種といえるでしょう。

EF86: The magical VOX toneEF86をプリアンプに搭載するオールドVOXアンプは大変貴重なものとして評価されます。その理由は、あたかも生きているかのように豊かに変化するオーバードライブがあげられるでしょう。タッチの変化に対する広いダイナミック・レンジは変化も素早く、独特のものです。もう一つの理由は、ボリュームを上げたときの滑らかなディストーション・サウンドでしょう。どちらを重要視するかはともかく、この時代のVOXアンプには他のアンプには見られない特別な音色とレスポンスが見出せるのです。EF86でプリアンプを組むというシンプルな方法で、この複雑なギター・アンプの動作が実現されます。つまり近年入手が難しいEF86が、このアンプの動作の中心なのです。私達は50年たった今、あえてEF86を再び採用することにしました。

ここに、50周年記念ハンドワイヤード・ヘリテイジ・コレクションのラインナップをご紹介します。

AC15H1TV: 上記限定生産モデルと同じ構成ですが、キャビネットはお馴染みのバーチ・プライウッドで、このシリーズ特別仕様のクリーム色のビニール・レザーの外装です。（2007年1月発表）

AC15H1TVL: 12インチ・スピーカーを1基搭載し、アンプ・シャーシと共にハンドメイドでオイル・フィニッシュを施したアフリカン・マホガニーのキャビネットに収めたコンボ・アンプです。VOXからのオフィシャルな記念モデルで500台限定生産です。まさにコレクターズ・アイテムでしょう。（2007年1月発表）

AC15HTVH: 上記限定生産15ワット・アンプのヘッド・タイプです。バーチ・プライウッドのキャビネットと特別仕様のクリーム色のビニール・レザーによる外装です。（2007年3月発表）

V112HTV: AC15HTVHにマッチする12インチ・スピーカーを1基搭載したキャビネットです。クリーム色のビニール・レザー、バーチ・プライウッドの外装です。（2007年3月発表）

AC30H2: 時代を超えたスタンダードといえるAC30のキャビネットに、30ワットにパワーアップさせた50周年記念ヘリテイジ・コレクション・アンプを組み込んだモデルです。バーチ・プライウッドとクリーム色のビニール・レザーの外装です。（2007年7月発表）

V212H: 12インチ・スピーカーを2基搭載したキャビネットです。AC30H2の拡張用として、またはAC30HHのキャビネットとして使用するモデルです。（2007年7月発表）

すべてのコンボ・アンプとスピーカー・キャビネットには、セレッション・アルニコブルー・スピーカーを搭載しています。このスピーカーはVOXアンプのサウンドにとって基本的なアイテムです。

50周年記念モデルを設計するにあたり、私達はEF86を採用したオリジナルの回路と、その次の世代のトップ・ブースト回路の両方を是非１台に搭載したいと考えました。これを実現するために、オールドVOXアンプに見られるトレモロは回路から外しました。でもご安心ください。VOXVibraVoxペダルをお使いいただければトレモロ効果を得ることができます。

オールドのAC15の回路は、50年に渡り高く評価されてきました。私達はそこに少し現代的な味付けをしたいと考え、いくつかの機能を付け加えました。これによって、このアンプの魅力をより隅々まで楽しんで頂くことができます。すなわち、EF86のチャンネルに対して、BRILLIANCEスイッチを2ステップから3ステップへ拡張したこと、ボリュームを上げたときに低音域を引き締めてはっきりしたサウンドを得るためのベース・シフト・スイッチの追加、そしてEF86を3極管接続に切り替えるスイッチによって2通りのサウンドを得られるようにしてあります。また、出力管も5極管から3極間接続に切り替えるスイッチを搭載しました。これによってAC15の場合は7.5ワットと15ワットに、AC30では15ワットと30ワットに出力を切り替えることが可能になっています。

CHANNEL I EF86プリアンプ

1. INPUT端子EF86のチャンネルにギターを入力する端子です。2つの端子は昔ながらの配線になっており、アンプの正面に近い端子がハイ入力端子になります。もう一方の端子ではレベルが半分になって入力されます。

2. VOLUMEノブEF86チャンネルのボリュームをコントロールします。

3. BRILLIANCEスイッチこのツマミは、オールドのオリジナルAC15に備わっていた音色調整用のツマミを踏襲しています。しかし、オリジナルには“効果なし”と“低音域を大きく削る”の2つのポジションしかありませんでした。そこで私達は、その中間のポジションを加えました。そのポジションでは、AC30「トレブル」アンプ＊に似た音色を得ることができます。という訳でこのツマミの3つのポジションは、「OFF:効果オフ、1：トレブル（新しい設定）、2：ブリリアント（オリジナルの設定）」となります。

＊ AC30「トレブル」アンプとは、トップ・ブースト以前に一時期発売されたシンプルな方法で高域を強調したAC30のこと。

4. BASS SHIFTスイッチ“1”の位置ではオリジナルと同じ回路、“2”の位置では引き締まった低音が得られます。EF86のプリアンプでボリュームを上げて歪を増やしたときに使用すると、低音域が潰れて不明瞭になることを避ける効果があります。

5. EF86 MODEスイッチこのスイッチは、5極管（Pentode）の電圧増幅管であるEF86を「3極管（Triode）接続」に切り替えるスイッチです。3極管（Triode）接続にするとゲインが下がり、クリーンな音色が得やすくなります。5極管（Pentode）モードがEF86の本来の姿で、ゲインが高くスムーズな歪みが得られます。

CHANNEL II　トップ・ブースト・プリアンプ

6. INPUT端子トップ・ブースト・チャンネルにギターを入力する端子です。アンプの正面に近い端子がハイ入力端子になります。もう一方の端子ではレベルが半分になって入力されます。

7. VOLUMEノブトップ・ブースト・チャンネルのボリューム・コントロールです。

8. TREBLEノブ1963年に生まれたトップ・ブースト回路（ゲインのアップとトーン・コントロール）のコントロールの一つです。

9. BASSノブトップ・ブースト回路の一部です。

注意！ VOXアンプ初心者の方にご案内します。トップ・ブースト回路のトレブルとベース・コントロールは、ユニークな回路で片方の設定がもう片方の領域に影響を与えます。また中音域にも影響を与えながらそれぞれ高音域、低音域を強調するため少しのツマミの変化が大きな効果を持ちます。そこで私達がお薦めしたいのは、2つのツマミを中央にセットして、音を聴きながら少しづつ回してみて頂くことです。トレブルを上げると非常にブライトな音色になります。

10. TOP CUTノブこれは、後にも先にもVOXアンプにしか備わっていない独特の回路です。パワーアンプ回路で高音域を削る効果を持ちます。ご注意いただきたいのは、このツマミの動作は最近のアンプのツマミの常識からすると逆のように動作します。カットする量を設定しますので右に回すほど高音域が減っていきます。

11. O/P MODEスイッチ出力管EL84を通常の5極管(Pentode)動作から3極管(Triode)接続に切り替えるスイッチです。3極管接続では出力が約半分になり、音色も少し変化してスムーズな音色になります。Pentode（5極管）の位置ではAC15は15ワット、AC30では30ワットが最大で出力され、Triode（3極管）の位置ではAC15は7.5ワット、AC30では15ワットが最大で出力されます。

12. POWERスイッチアンプの電源をオン、またはオフにするスイッチです。

13. パイロット・ランプ電源オンのときに点灯します。

警告！正しい電圧の電源に接続してください。詳しくは裏の定格銘板をご確認ください。ご不明な点はコルグお客様相談窓口にご相談ください。

警告！必ずスピーカー、またはそれに該当する負荷装置を接続してアンプを使用してください。上記以外の使用をすると深刻な故障を招くことになります。

警告！万が一の場合に感電を防ぐため、このアンプのアース端子を正しく接続してください。

14. LOUDSPEAKER OUTPUT端子アンプと接続されるスピーカー・システムとのインピーダンスを必ず合わせてご使用ください。AC15、AC30ともに内蔵スピーカーのインピーダンスは16Ωです。

AC15: 2つのスピーカー出力端子は内部で並列に接続されています。コンボ・アンプは片方に内蔵スピーカーが接続されています。

AC30: 内蔵スピーカーはアンプ底部の端子に接続されています。リア・パネルの2つの出力端子は外部スピーカーの接続用です。2つの端子は異なる機能を持っています。

EXTENSION: この端子に外部スピーカーを接続すると、内部スピーカーと並列に接続されます。

EXTERNAL: この端子に外部スピーカーを接続すると、内部スピーカーが自動的に切り離されます。

15. IMPEDANCE SELECTスイッチこのスイッチでアンプの出力インピーダンスを切り替えます。接続するスピーカー・システムのインピーダンスに正確に合わせてください。これを間違えると本来の動作が得られなかったり、アンプあるいはスピーカーを傷める場合があります。

16. MAINS INPUT端子、MAINS FUSE電源ケーブルを接続します。付属している電源ケーブル、または同等以上の定格のケーブルをご使用ください。ヒューズを交換する際は必ず同一のタイプと同じ値のものをご使用ください。

電源ケーブルの接続について

1. 本機の電源スイッチをオフにします。

2. 最初に付属の電源コードを本機リア・パネルのMAINS INPUT端子に接続します。

3. 付属の電源コードには、アース端子がついています。感電と機器の損傷を防ぐためにアース接続を確実に行って、コンセントに接続してください。

注意！電源は必ずAC100Vを使用してください。接地コンセントに接続する場合は、直接プラグをコンセントに差し込んでください。

注意！電源コードは必ず付属のものをお使いください。他の電源コードを使用した場合、故障などの原因となります。アース・ターミナル付きコンセントに接続する場合は、2P-3P変換器（市販）をプラグに、アース線を接続した後にコンセントに差し込んでください。
