Our Devolution Proposition: Driving Economic Growth

The ChallengeSecuring Oxfordshire’s economic potential depends on our ability to tackle underlying challenges which constrain growth, we therefore need to:• Improve the capacity of the strategic

and local transport infrastructure to support housing growth

• Accelerate housing delivery that hampers growth and is leading to recruitment and retention problems for many employers

• Accelerate growth in the ‘Knowledge Economy Spine’ to accommodate high growth innovation led business and employment opportunities

• Meet increasing demand for higher level skills to support the needs of the local economy

• Address increasing demands and pressure on resources for health and social care.
