In the Swedish tradition of safety Autoadapt is working actively within Europe to enhance the safety level of car adaptation products. We regard it as our mission to offer the disabled drivers and passen-gers the same safety conditions as other road-users.

The Carony Go - our power wheelchair in the Carony family - can only be retailed by selected Carony Go dealers. The reason for this is that the product requires special knowledge and experience in wheelchairs and a service readiness that meets the needs of power wheelchair occupants.

The option of having the joystick on the left or on the right hand side is purely for the benefit of suiting left-handed or right-handed wheelchair occupants. The two joystick versions can be installed on either side in the vehicle.

The Carony Drive has the same performance as the Carony Go and uses a control system from Dynamic. It is a power wheelchair, specially designed to be used when driv-ing a vehicle from the wheelchair. The adjustable seat height is, at lowest position, only 38 cm and up to 52 cm at the highest.

The footrest moves forwards as the seat is lowered, to provide better seat-comfort and to lower the knees away from the steering wheel. The arm holding the wheelchair control can be lowered and the control can be flipped down and out of the way when seated at the steering wheel.

The Carony Drive can NOT be combined with Turnout or Turny.

Driver Test Station

Our new Autoadapt Driver Test Station is an evaluator tool, used to determine a customer’s strength, mobility and reaction time. The Test Station does not produce a pass/failed result but provides the evaluator with true facts in making these decisions. The DTS allows you to test and compare the clients strength and reaction in using a right and left hand control, right and left foot pedals, turning the steering wheel with different steering knobs to find what combination fits your client best. The DTS is extremely flexible and allows the test person to perform the test either by transferring to the swivel seat or from the clients wheelchair.
