New limit values = 0.2 ppm & 0.3 ppm
• The human toxicological limits are between 0.05 ppm to 0.20 ppm as an 8 hour ‐time weighted average (TWA). The range of TWAs is dependent upon physical activity:– Heavy work: 0.05 ppm– Moderate work: 0.08 ppm– Light work: 0.10 ppm– Heavy, moderate, or light work (≤ 2 hours ): 0.20 ppm –
• In our laundries there are very light work load for less than 2 hours per shift (in each 90 minutes the ozone treatment lasts about 15 minutes) so this limit was selected as maximum INSIDE THE MACHINE before door opens.
• The OSHA Permissible Limits for Short-Term Exposure Limit (STEL) [15 minutes]: 0.3 ppm. This is a good limit as the machine door cannot open above 0.2 ppm so in case external sensor detects 0.3 ppm than it means ozone is leaking somewhere.
• So with these limits we meet both the newest scientific references and law.
Other elements
• Same number of sensors• A new type of PPE for escape situations• Polish O&O completely aligned with the
updated requirements – so we are leading so suppliers need to follow us
• We are not requesting something which is not achievable
• Corlu needs to separate with e.g. polycarbonate wall the generator only
