In this study, the maintenance method is proposed for the improvement of sediment transport by moving the deposited materials to the right place in the channel. At first, we show the method for finding the process of sediment deposition and characteristics of river channel by using both the two-dimensional riverbed variation analysis and Fukuoka’s formula. And, the method is proposed to design proper longitudinal and cross-sectional form to correct the sediment transport problem.
