GPS constantly seeks out new materials to reduce costs, not only in our production but also onsite. Working with Lightweight Stone Concepts We have

developed a product that weighs five pounds per square foot, uses an adhesive installation method, and can also have a mechanical connection in conjunction with adhesive. The adhesive bond will work with almost all of today’s building materials. Cast Stone Coat/CSC is an ideal solution for Trim work, Cornices, Ornament, Restoration, Balustrade, etc. It has a high compressive strength, good flex strengths, and high tensile strengths. This product also does not require any heavy lifting equipment for installation.

The many different ways that model makers produce their art is one of the most intriguing aspects of the profession. Model making is by no means standardized. Today, laser cutters and other high-tech solutions play an ever-growing role in rapid prototyping, helping model makers create more accurate parts in less time.

The mold process is where the architect's vision begins to change into something tangible. Shop drawings and assembly details are reviewed and layouts are completed. According to the size of the project and detail, molds are made of different materials. High-quantity or rush jobs generally have molds built of wood, fiberglass, GFRC or foam. Ornate pieces usually have molds built of rubber or fiberglass. The craftsman responsible for the project determines the best material for the application. If an actual piece from a building is brought to be matched, craftsmen will sculpt an exact replica down to the finest detail. Mold making is an art form passed from craftsman to apprentice, allowing the techniques of the old to gel with the technology of this generation of artists. At GPS we revere the old, and embrace the new, and continually look for better ways to refine our craft.

These Precast concrete or GFRC planters are designed with an insulation barrier. An answer to harsh weather conditions to protect plants in hot and cold climates. GFRC and Concrete will allow hot and cold temperatures to transfer from the outside surface to the soil, the larger the transferred temperatures the greater use of water or the greater chance for the root ball to freeze. By insulating the planters we stop the transferring of these temperatures. Insulated planters:
