• Introduced by MOE in 2004 to promote holistic education and provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate a more diverse range of achievements and talents in seeking admission to a secondary school.

• Interested P6 students should visit the DSA-Sec School’s website to learn more about DSA niche areas, selection criteria and programmes.

• Parents should consider the child’s strengths and apply to the school(s) that best caters to their child’s needs.

• DSA secondary schoolswill publish their latestselection criteria on theirwebsites in May.

• Application deadline foreach DSA secondaryschool may differ.

The PSLE Aggregate Score

• is the sum of the T-score of the 4 subjects

• incorporates performance of students in all

4 subjects

• allows students to be ranked fairly and

according to the scores

What is T-Score?• T-score is not the mark that a student

obtains in the examination• It gives the relative position of a student’s

performance as compared to theperformance of all the other students inthat subject

• A raw score of 85 marks in English and 85marks in Mother Tongue may beconverted to different T-scores

Cut-off Points for Secondary Schools

• Priority to secondary school admission isbased on PSLE Aggregate

• Cut-off point means the score of the lastPSLE student posted to the school in theprevious year.

• From 2016, students are not allowed toappeal to schools with higher cut-off pointsthan their aggregate score.



Posting Process• Students are posted to secondary

schools based on merit.• Students with a higher PSLE score

will be posted to their school of choicebefore another student with a lowerscore.

• Vacancies are filled up by studentswith higher scores first
