POEMS by ANTONIO BERANGO T he four young adults with strong ties to the Philippines met up in South Florida for a business conference but never did they know that on that fateful Wednesday, at 1:00 AM their lives would end in a catastrophic wreck on Interstate 95. A long standing criminal, fleeing Opa-Locka police, on a Chevy Suburban, northbound in the south- bound lanes near Ives Dairy Road, plowed into their Kia Sorento, killing them instantly at the scene. The criminal who broke both legs was arrested. These young Ayala agents spent lunch and the whole afternoon with the Talk of the Town Magazine staff at L.A. Rose Cafe in Los Angeles.
