Objective: Learn how to mask.Learn how to make 2 images appear as one.Apply and learn about filters

Process:First, I found a main image and 2 other ones that I wanted to incor-perate into project.I used the brush tool to take the hard edges away from the images that I was masking. I then applied text that centered around a gospel message. I played around with the filters and added one that I thought was appropriate.

Program/Tools: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustator

Objective: Learn how to design a folder brochure.Learn how to wrap text

Process: I set up my document in InDesign and arranged what I wanted my front, back, and interior to look like. I design a logo in Illustrator and put that on the back of my brochure. I cut out the background of one of my pictures in Photoshop, added it to my brochure, and then wrapped text around it. I also kept the monocartic color scheme present by adding some repeating blue bars to my design.

FlierDescription: A promotional flier for a graduation leadership conference.

Program/Tools: Adobe InDesign

Objective: Design a flier using basic InDesign techniques.Apply chosen picture and logo to the flier.

Process: After creating four different sketches, I chose one to design my flier around. I used several different black bars to create repetition in the flier. I inserted the image and logo and laid the text out the way I wanted it. I also put the title in one of the black bars to continue with the pattern.

Program/Tools: Adobe InDesign and Illustrator

Objective: Create a logo for a companyCreate a well informed business card

Process: First I put in the business card deminsions in indesign and make two boxes for the cards. With the logo that Idesigned in InDesign, I put that and other contact information on the cards. I kept the text and color scheme simple, with the main focus on my logo. I kept some negative space in the design to give it a clean feel.

Program/Tools: Adobe Illustrator and InDesign

Objective: Use a logo in a letterhead.Consistent theme in the letterhead matching the business cards.

Process: I decided to put my logo in the top left hand corner of my letter-head. I also put my name at the top right so it would stand out from the rest of the contact information. The rest of the information went on the bottom left hand corner. I then used a dashed line to seperate the information and logo from where the letter would actually be. I made that dashed line yellow to match the yellow on my business cards.

Surfing For Autism

Do you know how to surf and want to brighten a child’s day? Join SURF & SERVE and take an autistic child on a once in a lifetime ride. To sign up go to Surf&Serve.org    

We want to see EVERYONE at New Smyrna Beach on July 3rd at 2PM. Bring your friends and cheer on these amazing children as they make memories and chase their dreams.

This is a completely free event. There will be food trucks and vendors on the beach so bring some cash and 100% of proceeds go to the families of children with autism.

Program/Tools: Microsoft Word, Spori Lab scanner

Objective: Learn how to scan an imageLearn Word basics to add text, pictures, designs, etc.

Process: I found an image in a magazine that I really like and then I scanned it. I pulled colors out of the image and put them into other ele-ments in the ad. I arranged the text the way I wanted it and chose fonts. I calso reated the surfboard at the bottom by using the shape tools on microsoft word.

Program/Tools: Nikon camera, Adobe Photoshop

Objective: Learn how to take a well balanced photo.Make adjustments on that photo in Photoshop.Add text and other design elements to the photo.

Process: I used to Nikon camera to take a picture of these horses in the countryside. I imported it into photoshop and make adjustments to things like brightness and saturation. I also took colors out of the picture and cre-ated a color scheme with them. I used repeating bars to create rythmn and bring everything together.

Objective: Learn how to use html and css.Learn how to put my logo on a webpage.Learn how to make a webpage look appealing.

Process:I learned how to use Textwrangler and I inserted my logo and text onto the webpage. Once I had all of the coding corrext, I starting designing. I added a black and white background and changed certain design elements to match my color scheme. I learned about spacing and padding andadded it to my webpage.

Objective: Use the tools of Illusrtator to create logosDesign three new and different logos

Process: I sketched out a few logo designs to start with, then I took those ideas to Illustrator . I mostly used the shape tool to do designs like the mountains. I also used solid bars to give a repetitive feel. I chose three dif-ferent fonts for each of the logos and I also chose different colors for each one.
