Open web browser and enter device URL.

Log in when console screen has loaded.

Upon log in, the following screen will be displayed.

Click on Alerts.

The following Alerts page will display. In Alerts, look for errors that are Not Complete, right-click, and select ‘Details’ to get more information.

If an error is found, call HP and open a case with the customer number to get the device fixed. (Note: there is no way to find out exactly which drive, for example, failed. HP will take care of this upon service.)

From the top menu, Connections → Port Locations... Wait for the Java interface to start

Ports in yellow have active Fiber Channel connections. Ports in black are installed and working, but not connected. Ports in grey are not installed, or are down on the array. Verify port status against “good” configuration documented in account-specific health checks.

If a port that should be yellow is black, contact appropriate local team by account to have fiber and SFPs tested.

If a port that should be yellow or black is grey, open a ticket with HP to dispatch a CE to investigate.
