On September 1st 2015 the Tonga Post Office has released Part 1 of its new EMS rate stamps. It is planned that there will be a total of 3 Parts, each consisting of 2 values (Part 2 scheduled for release in November 2015 and Part 3 scheduled for release in January 2016). With new postal rates recently going into effect and an increase in packets mailed there has been need for higher denomination stamps at the postal counter. The values used for the EMS stamp series cover the most common weight (up to 500g) to all delivery zone destinations (Domestic and International).
