Two of the employees make posting in finance and one is working only cash register and payroll. The company also has one retail shop with one computer and one shop with two computers from which one does only retail and the other one does retail and wholesale.

Offering an ME license on the sales meeting to a company that generally can have its needs covered in SE is always a good idea. •First of all you will introduce ME and you will make them confrontable with the idea that ME is natural upgrade to SE.•Second of all, you can suggest them and keep suggesting them ME until the final negotiations and the use it as a joker: ok, in order to make this purchase less of a burden now lets do this – get SE now and later we can upgrade you to ME. Plus later you will have more data to analyze with the Business Analytics in ME. •And last but not least – you will get yourself additional advantage that can easily be used when you negotiate for discount (you already made exception for them that made their offer cheaper)

PA basics – session 4Licensing and Product Keys

To run PANTHEON you need a valid license. It can be retrieved from Datalab's server after a correct product key is entered.

Demo VersionThe installation comes with a demo product key which allows a limited use of PANTHEON. All features are available in the demo version but it allows a limited number of documents: 100 orders, 100 journal entries, 100 cash receipts and disbursements, 10 salary calculations, and 200 movements. After this limit has been reached, no further documents can be entered. The demo version allows only one concurrent user.The demo version can freely be upgraded to a new version.




To run PANTHEON you need a valid license. It can be retrieved from Datalab's server after a correct product key is entered.

Full VersionThe full version has no upper document limit. It is acquired by purchasing a license for Datalab PANTHEON.Activate the full version by entering the registered user and product key in the panel Installation in the Administration Panel

You can use the demo version for the initial deployment of PANTHEON. Start entering data as normal and when your reach the document limit purchase a license and change the product key.




There are four types of deployments according to the organization structure.They are listed below:

•Company on one site•Company on multiple sites•multiple companies on one site•accounting firms with terminal access

You can use CLOUD option (hosting) if the company cannot invest in infrastructure or proper network.



PA basics – session 4Installation Types on Different Network Configurations

PANTHEON can be installed on different configurations. The main two configuration types are: •local database (for a single user) and •networked database (for multiple users)

A networked database can be implemented in two ways.

In small networks (up to 5 users), the most powerful (and least used) computer in the network can be used as the database server, thus eliminating the need for a costly dedicated server and related software.

In larger networks (more than 5 users), it is recommended to use a dedicated server which is not used to work with PANTHEON.

PANTHEON's main menu is located just below the title bar. Most features and functions are accessed through the main menu.

The structure of the main menu can be customized:•company-wide•for user groups•for individual usersand set in Administration Panel.

The default menu structure can be grouped according the license editions:

• By using LT license you cannot customize the menu at will - it is formatted as described in the follow-up.

• LT license does not include the functionality for assigning authorizations. That is, they can be assigned to the user on the level of the entire program (for detailed treatment see Users)!

• Furthermore, you can only use those document types specified in the follow-up - you cannot use document type with different document type ID. (Defining your own document types is possible using RE/SE/ME/MF editions. Use different settings when using RT edition. LT edition functions only using the preset settings.)

• SE and GE licensees have identical functionalities and menu. The deferens is that GE license is meant for Government Institutions.

• ME license has the following main diferenses in menu and in functionalities – ZEUS. (It includes Business Intelligence and OLAP) and Accounting Console.

• All three licensees have identical Manufacturing module
