Aux fuel pumps Off
If using fuel from opposite side of op engine:
Fuel selector (op engine) Crossfeed
Fuel selector (inop engine) Off
Aux fuel pumps Off
*Cross feed in level flight only
** Does not cross feed with full fuel on same side as op engine. Vapor return fuel flow will be vented overboard.
ENGINE FAILURE IN ICING CONDITIONS
Select alternate air and attempt restart. If unable to restart engine:
Prop (inop) Feather
Airspeed Blue line or above
Electrical load Reduce
Land as soon as practicable. Maintain at least blue line on final. Do not extend gear or flaps until runway is assured.
Flaps on final Extend, 25°

PA34-200T Piper Seneca II___________Emergency procedures
ALTERNATOR FAILURE IN ICING CONDITIONS
Over-voltage relay Reset
Circuit breakers Check and reset
If unable to restore alternator:
Avionics Off, except Nav com and transponder
Windshield heat Off
Gear may require free fall extension prior to landing
ENGINE DRIVEN FUEL PUMP FAILURE
Throttle Retard
Aux fuel pump Unlatch, on high
Throttle 75% power or less
If normal Engine operation and fuel flow are not reestablished, auxiliary fuel pump should be turned off. Lack of fuel flow while on high setting may indicate fuel leak or fuel exhaustion.
Auxiliary fuel pumps should only be used for fuel vapor suppression(Low) or emergency use(High). High setting during normal engine operation may cause power loss.
GEAR UNSAFE WARNING
Red light indicates gear in transit. Recycle gear if indication continues. Light will illuminate when gear horn sounds at low throttle settings.

PA34-200T Piper Seneca II________Emergency procedures
MANUAL GEAR EXTENSION
Check before extending gear manually:
Circuit breakers In
Master switch On
Alternators Check
Nav lights Off (daytime)
To extend, re-position clip downward and clear of knob and proceed as follows:
Airspeed 85 Kias max
Gear selector Down
Emergency gear extension knob Pull
Indicator lights 3 Green
Leave emergency gear extension knob out
ELECTRICAL FAILURES
ALT annunciation light illuminated:
Ammeters Determine inop alternator
If both alternators inop, reduce electrical load. Turn OFF both switches then on one at a time to observe ammeters. Determine alternator showing least amps and turn it’s switch off.
Electrical loads Re-establish up to 60 Amps
If one ammeter shows zero output, cycle its switch off, then on. If power is not restored check circuit breakers and reset once if required. If alternator remains inop, reduce electrical load and continue flight. Compass error may exceed 10° with both alternators inop.
