“UDINIA” 2016MY BEST PROJECT

The Udi people is the only ethnic group who lives from the time of Caucasian Albania and preserved Christianity as a religion. It is a small bastion of Christianity in the foothills of the Caucasus Mountains. Many mysteries keeps their ancient land. It’s name changed many times and eventually changed forever.

The main character is philosopher Giorgio lives his wife Monica in Rome. He reflects on life, watching the young and not very tourists. They have many in common and there are differences between them. People get born, get married, go on trips, they become rich or poor. They are all - the essence of life forms. A metaphorical journey from Rome to Kabbalah. Remember your roots - It is the way to yourself.

UDINIA. THE NON-EXISTENT LAND

WHAT I HAVE MADE FOR YOU

FIRST

JAZZ MUSIC FESTIVAL AT THE DAY OF SCAVENGERS

▸ Heaps of garbage. People walk around and dig in the garbage. Other pass people with metal detectors. There are people with sticks and garbage bags. A man finds a trumpet. He raises it, examines it, wipes it from dirt. He brings it to his lips. The sound of the trumpet is heard all around. Everything starts to move. People raise their heads, look around. The birds fly away. However, on the general plane of the scene, the sound of the drum is heard. People turn towards the sound. The trumpeter smiles and plays a few more notes. Then there are other musicians of this improvised orchestra. They gather together on one of the heaps of rubbish and play jazz. Around them are spectators. "This is our world, so let it Jazz."

THE FOLK MUSIC FESTIVAL AT THE CASHIER’S DAY

▸ Supermarket. We see a series of cash registers. There are a lot of people standing in the checkout line. Buyers stand in anticipation. Cashiers pierce the goods. Buyers pay, communicate with cashiers. Smile, extend credit cards, enter pin-codes. This is a series of monotonous acts under the symphony of monotonous sounds. A rhythm emerges.

▸ At one of the ticket offices, the customer wants to buy a trumpet. The cashier tries to find the barcode it but he can not find it. The buyer takes a trumpet, twists it in his hands, brings it to his lips and blows out a note. The queue whispers. The cashier looks at the buyer with bewilderment. The trumpeter plays the melody. At another checkout point, a woman with a guitar also starts to play.

▸ Other musicians approach: who plays gusli, who plays a tambourine, who plays a balalaika. They play one music together. People in the line smile, approvingly nod. The mood improves. There is a feeling of a holiday. Someone in the line puts a wreath on the cashier's head. The cashier smiles. “We know how to make you happy. The folk music festival in Glasgow. Cashiers get discount 20%!”

THE MUSIC FESTIVAL AT THE ELECTRICAL WORKERS DAY

▸ The darkest night of the year. Black screen. Flash. Black screen. With a discharge of electricity, a frame of tungsten filament appears. Black screen. The bulb lights on and turns out. The camera starts its movement in the dark. As it moves, the more we can see. And the club atmosphere is drawn. First, the camera monitors the wires and moves from one bulb to another. Each bulb lights on when the camera is near. Then we see the Dj. The camera comes closer. The Dj is in the costume of electrician. Then there is an loud accord of sound and the whole club flashes for few seconds and we can see that the whole club is full with electrical workers. “We all need you. We all love you. So Dance, the Electrician, Dance”
