In 1971, Mr. Awsaf Khalil Ghorayeb took the decision to start building his own customs clearing and freight forwarding company in the
heart of his home country Beirut, Lebanon.
Day after day, Ghorayeb International Freight Forwarding Co. (GIFCO) became an industry leader, offering a variety of services through its

GIFCO employs an experienced and dedicated staff specialized in packaging and crating cargo for safer transport, including the handling of fine arts and fragile items. GIFCO also insures door to door deliveries of both Personal Effects and Households with minimal risk and optimal efficiency.

GIFCO utilizes private warehouses for holding costum-ers’ cargo. Among the five warehouses located in Lebanon, GIFCO’s Free zone facility provides its custom-ers the option to store, label, rearrange, organize, separate, and combine cargo without having to be burdened with heavy governmental duties and taxes. In addition to the above, GIFCO owns a special fleet of trucks ready to provide local deliveries and pick-ups thus satisfying this very important link in supply chain management.

GIFCO also established offices that excelled in handling cargo traffic to African destinations, such as Juba where GIFCO has physical presence through its own offices and warehouses. GIFCO also handles air & sea fright routes via Mombasa, Kenya. Over the past decades our team of qualified equipment opera-tors and transport managers has overcome some of the most difficult challenges and developed a flawless expertise in maneu-vering goods and equipment through off-road terrain , route modifications , carrier load distributions , long distance and cross country transportation in a safe and time oriented manner.
GIFCO Africa manages a fleet of heavy duty and multi axel flat bed and low bed trailers that ensure safe transportation of all containerized and break bulk cargo. These reliable vehicles are
capable of moving out of gauge and oversized cargo.
In addition, GIFCO provides a transportation solution for the Perish-ables Industry with its dedicated Reefer fleet. Our Jumbo Reefer trailers are insulated, satellite tracked and equipped with adequate refrigeration capacity and air delivery systems to continuously
maintain product temperature of -27 Degrees Celsius.
