Packaging and Recycling Alliance for Indonesia Sustainable Environment
About PRAISE
• PRAISE is the “Packaging & Recycling Alliance for Indonesia Sustainable Environment”
• We are an alliance to support the development of sustainable andintegrated packaging waste management solutions in Indonesia
• We were formerly established as the ‘Coalition for Sustainable Packaging’
• Six companies initiated PRAISE as founding members
Vision & Mission
Vision
To establish best practices which support the development of sustainablepackaging waste management solutions in Indonesia
Mission

MOVING TOWARD
CIRCULAR ECONOMIC MODEL
PRAISE is integrating ESR concept into CLOSED CIRCULAR ECONOMIC
Model which also combining OPEN CIRCULAR ECONOMIC Model, with the
inclusion of Industry who are using recycled materials within Indonesia context
“Closed Loop’s approach to resource recovery and waste management is based on the
principle of controlling material inputs to maximize recycling and recovery of materials,
minimize waste to landfill whilst greatly reducing the environmental footprint. It builds
strong partnerships to design, deliver, communicate and measure waste management
solutions that provide the best possible economic, social and environmental outcomes.”
“Unlike the traditional linear economic model based on a 'take-make-consume-
throw away' pattern, a circular economy is based on sharing, leasing, reuse, repair,
refurbishment and recycling, in an (almost) closed loop, where products and the
materials they contain are highly valued. In practice, it implies reducing waste to a
minimum. Moving towards a more circular economy could deliver opportunities
including reduced pressures on the environment; enhanced security of supply of
raw materials; increased competitiveness; innovation; growth and jobs.”
