Pack Features
Strength of the Q-12 range of equipment is the ability to run single product and multi-mixed orders, completely at random. Each orders / die cut blank is manually inducted into the machine, where it is automatically scanned, label printed and applied. The contents are held firmly in place by a shrink-wrapped band of PE film, positioned around the items and carton base. The corrugated blank is then formed into a carton, closed and tape sealed ready for despatch. The completed package is neat, very robust and has been proven in the market since 1997.
Three different pack heights can be fed into a Q-12 system in continuous random order, without size change or operator intervention. The pack footprint (length and width) are fixed dimensions, per machine.

Q-12 Flow Chart / Operating Principle
1. Carton blank selected (best size to match order content) is loaded manually with order item(s) plus a bar-coded document and presented to machine infeed
2. The bar code is read by overhead scanner (unless hand scanner employed) which requests order information from the host’s database, which they send to floor-standing labeller
3. Label is printed and applied to the underside of the carton (to become the lid) 4. Package enters Shrink-wrap section, where a loose sleeve of film is cut and
sealed around the area containing the order items 5. This passes through the heat chamber which shrinks contents and document in
place 6. Carton is automatically formed 7. Lid section is lifted and lowered into final position (courier / despatch label now
on top) 8. Side and back walls are folded down as pack is lifted through former 9. External base flaps ploughed underneath pack to conceal film 10. Adhesive tape automatically applied to front, underside and rear of carton 11. Pack discharges ready for sortation and despatch
