MOH PACS Training

Definition of Training and the Training Process

• Training is a process through which specific conditions are put in place to facilitate learning - usually focused on the practical knowledge of how to use a new tool, procedure, or process

• Conditions that support successful training for clinicians include: – The learning environment – The learners themselves (their needs, expectations, learning styles,

etc.) – The training objectives, content and teaching methods (approach) and

style – The trainers

• Training is a five step process that includes: 1. A needs analysis 2. Objectives and determination of content 3. Selection of teaching methods 4. Training delivery 5. Evaluation
