I was at my house getting ready to go to the park with
my dog, Daisy.
“Oh Daisy!” I said. “How black, brown and fluffy you
are. You make me cry.”
I let Daisy out of the house to go to the outside toilet.
After that, we went to the park. I rode my bike and
Daisy sat in my bike trailer. She barked 5 times and
then she stopped.
At the park, Daisy and I were playing fetch
with a ball that I brought from home. I
threw the ball very far. Daisy caught the ball. She
went wonky because she hit her head on the gravel.
She was blurry eyed. She
started walking in a zigzag
across the park. She walked
over to some brown and
black trees, and
suddenly she blended in
with the trees. I couldn’t see Daisy at all.
Page 5
So, I started looking. I looked over at the playground,
around the big rocket and around the trees.
Then, I saw Daisy, but Daisy didn’t see me. She kept
walking and zigzagging in the trees.
I ran after her and chased her out of
the trees.
“Come back Daisy!” I said. “It’s me!”
Daisy barked at me and she ran away.
She ran all the way back to my home.
I got on my bike and I went after her. I couldn’t keep
up.
Daisy went back to her doggy-bed and had a sleep
because she was tired.
I lay down next to her, and I had a sleep too.

I was on the farm with my dog, Pluto, and he dug up a
big portal in the cow-pen.
I jumped in the portal. It took me somewhere.
When I got out of the portal, the
place looked like a movie. I looked
around. I saw Spiderman. He spun a
web to a building and he landed on the
ground. It was awesome.
Inside the building, The Dark
Spider was destroying
everything.
Spiderman shot a web up to the building. He
rushed into the window. He slammed a web
onto the roof and stayed there, waiting for The Dark
Spider.
When The Dark Spider came, Spiderman stopped him
with a kick.
The Dark Spider got back up, and then, Spiderman shot
another web around him. The Dark Spider was trapped.
Spiderman put him in a cage and the police came.
Page 7
They put The Dark Spider in jail.
I ran back to the portal. I jumped into the portal. It
was blurry inside.
Seconds later, I jumped out and I was home. I went
and got Pluto. I took him to the backyard
and I gave him some dry dog food.
Then, I went inside the house to see my
family, and I told them all about my adventure.

My stepdad, Wayne was in the car driving. My brother,
Obi and I were in the back, waiting to get to school.
When we got to school we undid our seat belts. We got
our bags and we got out of the car. I went over to the
cubby house. I saw a box at
the cubby house, sitting next
to the gates. The box was
small and pink, like a pencil
case.
I found a key on top of the
box. I asked Eliza to help me open it.
Eliza said, “what’s inside it?”
I said, “I don’t know!”
Eliza and I opened the box.
In the box were two Fairies. They
were dressed in rainbow clothes. They
also had wings and a pet pink unicorn.
While they were in the box, the fairies
made a big mess.
Page 9
They were busy making presents. The fairies’ names
were, Twinkle and Sparkles, and their unicorn’s name
was Vanilla. They were making the presents for the
children of Blighty public school.
When they finished making the presents, they flew
them to the classrooms. Eliza and I tried to stop them.
We wanted them to open the presents outside.
The fairies knew how many children there were in each
class. Each student got to open a present and they
played with them for the rest of the day.
Eliza got a toy castle with a princess, a
King, a baby and some animals. I got the
same.

At school I found an egg. It was on the tennis court.
When I looked, there were 100 eggs on the tennis
court. 99 of the eggs were broken. They had chocolate
in them. I ate all the chocolate from the 99 eggs.
The egg that didn’t break, broke a year
after. Inside the egg, there was a dog. It
was a kelpie. It looked so cool. It was
brown and black. It had a collar around its
neck. On the collar was the name, Tex.
Tex ran around the school and jumped
over everyone. The kids played with him.
Tex ran over to the school gate and started digging. He
dug a big tunnel from the school to my house.
I crawled through the tunnel. I popped up inside the
house.
I followed Tex around the house and into the lounge
room. Tex walked to the front door and started
barking, so I opened up the door.
Tex ran outside. I ran outside too.
Page 11
I got on my motorbike and followed
Tex all the way to the back of the
farm.
Then, Tex ran along the road to our
other farm. He turned into the farm
and went inside. He started digging
another tunnel.
I put my bike down and followed him down the tunnel.
We ended up back where we started. At school!
All the kids at school got a big fright.

Page 12
I came to school and I saw a medium-sized box on the
oval. I opened the box with a chainsaw, and it fell
apart. There were four kittens and one mother and one
dad inside the box.
They all ran away. They ran over to the
classroom. One of the kittens got
stuck on the verandah, and it died. It
was a baby kitten.
Now, there were only three kittens left. The kittens
still had their mum and dad.
The kittens and their mother and father went under
the Schoolhouse and saw some milk and water. All the
kids kept stomping in the classroom and on the
verandah. So, the cats ran away.
One of the kittens was run over by the
mower. Marie was driving the mower. Now,
only two kittens had survived. The kittens
ran away. They had lots of milk and water.
Page 13
Just then, some lightning hit a tree.
The tree fell on the mother and father
cats. The mother and the father died.
So, the two little kittens built a house
of bricks at the back of the sport shed.
Because the house was made of bricks
the big bad wolf couldn’t get them. They
didn’t die ever.

I was walking around at school with my friend Jack M.,
when we found a box near the cubby house. We tried
to open it, but we could not open
it, so we went to the principal.
The principal walked over to the
cubby house. She tried to open
the box with a red chainsaw. She
could not open it either.
The next day, when I got to school, the box was open.
It was empty, but how?
Jack and I asked the principal if we could stay at
school that night, and she said yes.
When it was night time, Jack and I stayed at the
school. Jack had a torch. He turned it on and he shone
it on the oval.
There it was! A giraffe!-It was eating
leaves off the trees. The giraffe tried to
run away. We chased after it and it turned
around and chased after us. It chased us
around the school.
Page 15
It ran onto the oval and it ran into another giraffe.
The two giraffes started playing soccer in the
playground. One of the giraffes kicked a goal. He
cheered. The other giraffe tried his best to kick a
goal, and he did. He cheered too.
After the game, the two giraffes shook hooves.
One of the giraffes bumped into Jack. He dropped the
torch. It rolled under the classroom. Everything got
dark. Jack and I couldn’t see very well.
Just then, we heard something eating on the roof of
the classroom. We looked up and we saw the two
giraffes.
Jack and I got a ladder from the sport shed. We put it
against the classroom. We climbed up the ladder. I got
a rope out of my backpack. I caught the
giraffes with the rope and I pulled them
off the roof. Jack and I put
them back in the box and closed
it.

I was looking after my kangaroo called Ruby. Then, I
looked at my dog, Bella and she was digging up
something. It was golden.
“Bella! What is that?” I said.
Bella bit into the gold thing, and
brought it up out of the hole. It was a
bone. I took the bone off Bella.
“WOW!-Bella-you are awesome. I know you are a
border collie and you are white and brown with a long
tail, but you are still awesome.”
“Ruff!” barked Bella.
“You are such a good girl, Bella! WOW!-You have found
a bone. Good girl, Bella. Yes you are. Let’s go and tell
mum that you found a bone!”
I ran into the door, but I didn’t knock myself out.
Then, I opened the door and walked inside. I was
carrying the bone. I showed mum the bone.
“Oh! I forgot that it was Bella’s birthday today,” said
mum.
Page 17
‘Ruff! Ruff!” barked Bella.
“You are a very, very good girl, Bella. I love you so
much.” I said.
Then, I walked outside with mum. Bella came with us
because she wanted the bone. I gave Bella the bone.
Bella took the bone to her cage. She dug a hole in the
ground. She put the bone in the hole and buried it.
Mum grabbed the tail of Ruby, my kangaroo, and she
flipped Ruby onto her back.
Then, Mum picked her up and carried
her to Bella’s cage. She gently put the
kangaroo down in the cage. Bella licked
Ruby on the face.
I went and got some chaff and put it in
Bella’s food bowl.
Ruby bounced and hopped over to the food and she ate
the whole lot.

I am looking after my pet dog, called Tess. I am taking
Tess for a walk down the street. She is a kelpie. She is
black.
When we are walking down the street, Tess sees a
little toy cat near a fence. She picks it up, and then
she digs a hole. She drops the little toy cat and looks in
the hole.
She finds a shiny, blue rock in the hole.
“WOW!” I say.
Tess picks up the blue rock and gives it to me.
“Good girl!” I say. “Let’s go home now Tess.”
Tess digs another hole. She finds another little toy cat
in the new hole. She puts this little toy cat back in the
hole and she buries it.
I say, “come on Tess!”
We go home, and the next day we
go for a walk down the street again.
Tess runs over to the same hole
and she digs out the sand.
Page 19
She finds the little toy cat from
yesterday. She also finds some more
little, blue rocks.
I put the rocks in my hand and I carry
them home. It is dark when I get home.
I go to my bedroom and I find that the
lights aren’t working. When I open my hand, the rocks
are glowing.
I put them on my bedside table. I go to sleep, and when
I wake up, the rocks are gone.

I was in the park with my dog, named
Rubble. She is a Jack Russell. She is
brown and white. She finds something.
“What is it girl?” I said. ”Oh no! You
have dug up a snake! Run Rubble run!”
Rubble ran away and hid in a bush.
I ran over to my Uncle David who was fixing the
toilets. He let me borrow a shovel.
I hit the snake on the head. It hissed at me and then it
died. I looked around.
“Where’s Rubble gone?” I said to my Uncle.
“I’m pretty sure she went into the bushes!” said Uncle
David.
I put some dog food out in front of the bushes. Rubble
ran out and ate the dog food.
Near the toilets there was a big, deep hole.
I walked over to it and I nearly fell in. I saw
a briefcase in the hole.
Page 21
I got it out of the hole with the shovel. There was a
key hanging off the briefcase.
Rubble and I figured out it was the key that opened
the briefcase. I opened the briefcase.
Inside the briefcase, there was a million dollars.
I took the money to my Uncle David. He said, “we can
build a million houses with that money.”
So, Uncle David
and I built a
million houses,
and we lived in all
of them.

I was at home. I was outside with my dog. My dog is
called Rosie.
I went over to the chook pen, and I found a hole. Rosie
had dug the hole. I looked in the hole. I found a box. It
was as big as a pen. I put it in my bag.
I took the box to the lake near my pig-pen. I put my
bag down and I found a key in my bag. I opened the box
with the key.
I found earrings, and bracelets
and necklaces in the box. They
had crystals on them. They
looked pretty and I could see
some more jewels in the box.
I shut the box and I put it in my bag. I walked past the
chook pen and I tied Rosie up to a tree, so she couldn’t
run off and find some chooks to eat.
Then, I walked through the gate. I opened the front
door of the house. I said, “mummy! I found a box!”
Page 23
Mum said, “well done!”
I put my bag on my bed, and I took out the key. I put
the key in the lock on the box. The box opened and
four fairies flew out. They said, “keep the Jewels! We
don’t need them!”
I said, “thank you.” And I took the Jewels and put
them in my own jewellery box that my Nana and Pop
gave me.

I was at my house and I went
outside to get my dog. I saw a hole
in the dirt at the back of my house.
I looked around and saw heaps of holes. My dog had
made them. In every hole there were eggs.
Suddenly, the eggs hatched open. There were chicks in
the eggs. The chicks walked around the holes so they
wouldn’t fall in.
My dog came along. It kept on digging more holes. In
every hole there were more eggs. They all hatched and
out came some roosters.
My dog started barking and all the chicks and the
roosters followed her.
I said to my dog, “Daisy! Take them to the chook pen.”
Daisy took them to the pen.
I closed the gate when they were all inside.
Daisy ran away from the chook pen and started digging
more holes.

Once, I found an egg on the road at Finley. I picked it
up. I put it in a box and I put a blanket over it. I put
the box in the car, and then I drove home.
I waited for the egg to hatch. I waited for two days,
and then it hatched. Out came a baby
chicken. It looked cute! It was really
nice.
I let it play outside for a little while
and it jumped in the pool. It swam
over to a lifejacket. It swam around
the pool.
Suddenly, it laid an egg in the pool. It floated in the
pool and over to the filter box. The baby chicken
accidentally got washed into the box.
I opened the pool gates and I went to check the filter.
I saw the egg and I grabbed it out of the pool.
I went and got the incubator. I put the egg in the
incubator.
I waited 28 days for it to hatch.
CRACK!-The egg opened up.
Page 26
There was a baby python inside the egg. I got a plastic
shovel and picked up the snake.
I took the python to my snake-pen,
and I put it in with the other
snakes.
The baby python went over to the
other snakes and it hissed at them.
They all hissed back.

I was at the river. I was swimming. I saw an egg. It was
floating in the river. It was gigantic. It hatched in the
river. There was a turtle inside. It was green and had a
really hard shell. The turtle called for its mother but
she did not come.
I pushed the turtle to the beach. I swam underwater
and I found its nest. I waited there until its mother
came.
I swam over to the beach and
pushed the baby turtle back
into the water. I showed it
where the nest was.
The baby turtle finally found its mother.
I jumped into the river and had a swim. Then, I got out
of the river and I ran onto the beach. After that, I ran
all the way home.

Page 28
I was down at the river with mum and dad, and Ella and
Sam. I found a strange egg. It was near the water. It
looked like a dinosaur egg. I picked it up and dropped
it. The egg cracked open. There was a dinosaur inside.
It was fat.
The dinosaur chased after me. I
was scared. I ran all the way
home, and the dinosaur followed
me.
I ran through the gate and the
dinosaur jumped the fence. It
crashed into the chook pen and
all the chooks got out. The chooks chased the dinosaur.
They chased it into the house.
“Who let the chooks out?” yelled Mum from the
kitchen. She looked up. She saw the dinosaur. The
dinosaur saw mum.
Mum screamed, and so did the dinosaur. Mum fainted,
but the dinosaur didn’t faint.
Page 29
It jumped on the couch and sat down next to me.
I gave the dinosaur a pat,
and I turned on the telly. We
watched Netflix together.
Dinotrux was on.
It was awesome.

One day, I rode my bike to school with Oliver and
Mitch and William. When we got to school, we saw the
biggest box we had ever seen. It was on the verandah.
William had a good idea. He sneaked up and stole the
teacher’s car keys. Then, he hopped in the car and
drove to town to get a jackhammer.
He came back to school with the jackhammer and he
opened the box. Inside the box, there was a truck and
a toy. The truck was Optimus
Prime, and suddenly the truck
flew away to stop an asteroid
from crashing into the Earth.
If Optimus Prime did not stop
the asteroid, the Earth would be
in one million pieces.
