L. Superintendent's Report

59. Presentation - Retirement and Terminal Sick Leave Pay

Attachment: Sick Leave - Retirement Updated.pdf Minutes:

Pennie Zuercher, Chief Financial Officer, gave the presentation.  Board members expressed appreciation for the information; however, Mr. Ziegler said that he is concerned about treating employees fairly. Regarding investment vs. pension, Mr.Ziegler thinks the ages should be set the same when you can get all of your sick time paid out.

There was discussion among all of the board members. They concluded that the differences need to be more effectively communicated so that employees are aware of the choices during onboarding.
