O Lord my God!
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works
Your hand has made.
I see the stars,
I hear the mighty thunder,
Your power throughout the universe
displayed.
Then sings my soul,
my Saviour God, to Thee;
How great Thou art,
how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul,
my Saviour God, to Thee:
How great Thou art,
how great Thou art!
When through the woods and forest
glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in
the trees;
When I look down from lofty
mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the
gentle breeze:
Page 2 Page 2
Page 2Page 2
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee;
How great Thou art,
How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee:
How great Thou art,
How great Thou art!
And when I think that God,
His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die,
I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross,
My burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin:
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee;
How great Thou art,
How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee:
How great Thou art,
How great Thou art!
When Christ shall come with shout
of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill
my heart!
Then shall I bow in humble
adoration,
And there proclaim, my God, how
great Thou art!
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee;
How great Thou art,
How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul,
My Saviour God, to Thee:
How great Thou art,
How great Thou art!

The Liturgy of the Word
(Luke 4:14-21)
Jesus, filled with the power of the
Spirit, returned to Galilee, and a
report about him spread through all
the surrounding country. He began
to teach in their synagogues and
was praised by everyone.
When he came to Nazareth, where
he had been brought up, he went to
the synagogue on the Sabbath day,
as was his custom. He stood up to
read, and the scroll of the prophet
Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled
the scroll and found the place where
it was written:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release
to the captives and recovery of sight
to the blind, to let the oppressed go
free, to proclaim the year of the
Lord’s favour.” And he rolled up the
scroll, gave it back to the attendant,
and sat down. The eyes of all in the
synagogue were fixed on him. Then
he began to say to them, “Today this
scripture has been fulfilled in your
hearing.
This is the word of the Lord.
All Thanks be to God.

Sermon
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I'll worship your holy name
The sun comes up,
it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever
lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening
comes
Bless the Lord,
O my soul, O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I'll worship your holy name
You're rich in love,
and you're slow to anger
Your name is great
and your heart is kind
For all your goodness I will keep on
singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart
to find
Page 5 Page 5
Page 5Page 5
Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I'll worship your holy name
And on that day
when my strength is failing
The end draws near,
and my time has come
Still my soul will sing your praise
unending
Ten thousand years and then
forevermore!
Bless the Lord,
O my soul, O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before, O my soul
I'll worship your holy name

Everyone needs compassion,
a love that’s never failing;
Let mercy fall on me.
Everyone needs forgiveness,
the kindness of a Saviour.
The hope of nations.
Saviour, he can move the
mountains,
my God is mighty to save,
He is mighty to save.
Forever, author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
So take me as you find me,
all my fears and failures,
fill my life again.
I give my life to follow
everything I believe in.
Now I surrender.

Saviour, he can move the
mountains,
my God is mighty to save,
He is mighty to save.
Forever, author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
Shine your light and let the whole
world see,
we’re singing for the glory of the
risen King.
Jesus.
Shine your light and let the whole
world see,
we’re singing for the glory of the
risen King.
Saviour, he can move the
mountains,
my God is mighty to save,
He is mighty to save.
Forever, author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
Saviour, You can move the
mountains,
my God is mighty to save,
You are mighty to save.
Forever, author of salvation,
You rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.

Prayers of Intercession Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those
who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.

My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus’ blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly trust in Jesus name.
Christ alone, Cornerstone,
weak made strong,
in the Saviour’s love.
Through the storm
he is Lord, Lord of all
When darkness seems to hide his face
I rest on his unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
my anchor holds within the veil.
Christ alone, Cornerstone,
weak made strong,
in the Saviour’s love.
Through the storm
he is Lord, Lord of all
Then he shall come with trumpet
sound
Oh may I then in him be found.
Dressed in his righteousness alone,
faultless I stand before the throne.

The Sending Out
Vision
Be thou my Vision,
O Lord of my heart,
Nought be all else to me,
Save that Thou art;
Thou my best thought in the day and
the night,
Waking and sleeping
Thy presence my light.
Vision
Be Thou my wisdom,
Be Thou my true word,
I ever with Thee,
And Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father,
And I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling,
And I with Thee one.
Vision
Be Thou my breastplate,
My sword for the fight;
Be Thou my armour,
And be Thou my might;
Be my soul’s shelter,
And Thou my high tower:
Raise Thou me heavenwards,
O Power of my power.
Vision
Riches I need not,
Nor man’s empty praise:
Thou my inheritance now and always;
Thou and Thou only,
Thou first in my heart:
High King of heaven,
My treasure Thou art.
Vision
High King of Heaven,
when battle is done
Grant Heaven’s joy to me bright
Heaven’s sun!
Christ of my own heart, whatever
befall,
Still be my vision, Thou Ruler of all.
