“The things that count most in life are the things that can’t be counted!” ... What a fantastic ‘Fiesta De Las Flores’ last weekend (19). It was great fun from start to finish, and mighty to see so many come out and spend time together as a parish family. ... There are so many involved in its planning, preparation, and wonderful success on the week-end! We truly applaud and appreciate the great Fiesta Team that makes it possible. Mark and Theresa Coyle, Robb Skinner, Tim and Leann Walsh, Dave and Jan Scatena, Greg and Lorraine Butler, Kathy Roth, Brian and Jennifer Dorsey, Steve and Beth Toner, Deacon Bob, Isaac Deken, Mitch Phil-lippe, Lou Tapia, Tom Henderson, James Stacey, Matt Grisafe, Robb Skinner, Earleen Diaz, Mary Moran, Mike Yokoyama, and Raphael Navarro ... all leading the way! Our parish groups and organiza-tions were also highly involved. Thanks to all! ... And delicious food, of all sorts! We had the best beef ever, donated by the Brandt family, for our hamburgers and burritos! Those wonderful des-serts, served by our youth, and pizza and popcorn, and the ever popular ice-cream to go! ... Our Game Area was fun and happily staffed by our Scouting Troop, with our Kiddie Play-Area so well organized and extremely popular. ... John and Nell Koopmans won our $5,000 first prize, Debbie O’Reilly won the $2,500 second prize, Florence Schweizer the $1,000 third prize, while Margie Handel won the $500 fourth prize. ... Our Early-Bird $100 winners were Steve and Maureen Hammock, Toni Rechsteiner and Liong Lie Penfield! Thanks to Dave and Jan Scatena for their dedicated work in organizing the Grand Drawing! ... And the entertainment was superb throughout the weekend, with our own Happy Tappers, Tom Griesgraber of Agent 22, Andy Weis with the Jack Stitler Jazztet, The Jenks Band and Dan Kasperick. We also greatly enjoyed the Polynesian Dancers, Chuck and the Fiji’s, the superb Mariachi la Vos de Mexico, Folklorica Dancers, and Ann Heller with Fleetwood Max playing us out! ... Contributions last weekend (19) amounted to $12,791.50 with 384 families using envelopes, and $3,767.00 was contributed ‘Online’! ... A further $2,255.00 was contributed for the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (15) with 78 families using envelopes.

No estaremos absolutamente seguros.
